This light ale has a deep golden colour with a smooth, frothy head. There's a hint of aromatic hops and a fruity (citrus) note from the spices used in production. It finishes with a delightful mellow dry hoppiness and is a remarkable Belgian ale.

Brewery Info

Since 1873, the Friart family has brewed beers in Le Roeulx, Belgium under the Brasserie St Feuillien name. The brewery is named after a 7th century Irish monk who was beheaded and martyred in a nearby charcoal forest. A chapel was built on the site, followed by an abbey in which the monks brewed beer until the French Revolution.

The Friart family resurrected the brewing tradition along with the St. Feuillien name, brewing award-winning abbey-style beers including what is considered one of the best Tripels in the world.

A nice enough blonde, a little sweet
Unassuming but tasty

I came across this unassuming little beer in Brussels and i fell in love with it. Golden with a frothy head, there are nice malty tones, spiciness and a citrus finish. I found it very drinkable and returned to it many times in Brussels!
OK not great

Not my favorite Belgian blonde, had a hint of aniseed for me which I don't like (personal taste)
