Thornbridge describe themselves as a "collaboration of innovation, passion and knowledge" and they are spot on. Their beers are not pasteurised or filtered and are the epitomy of raw craft beer at its finest. Jaipur is their most well known but the rest of the range really stands up to the test too. Beer Hawk loves their beer!
  1. Hard to beat Review by Beebo
    Rating

A very nice double IPA that firmly sits on the bitter side of this beer type. A taste of citrus peel and pine that gave a very pleasing drinking experience. It had a strong mouthfeel and richness and a low level of carbonation. This is a beer that is complemented by food and a world a way from the sweet and fruity double IPAs from other brewers. 3. One of my favourites Review by MH
    Rating

Punches at the IPA heavyweight. Lovely hop aroma, bursts with flavour, sticky toffee, intense bitterness. Trifle soaked in alcohol. Madeira wine. Keeps working the tastebuds with different hop notes of summer hay, marujauna, lychee. Malty sweet, sugar and spice. Nice (Posted on 08/02/2017)

  14. Still top of the pile Review by howzat
    Rating

A summer holiday in the States this year saw me drink so much IPA I ended up going right off that style of beer altogether. Thankfully there is always Halycon to go back to and restore my love of IPA. If it's not the best beer in the world, it is certainly in the top handful. (Posted on 11/11/2015)

  20. The best of the best Review by tehhaz
    Rating

The crown jewel of the Thornbridge line up - no mean feat considering the brilliance of some of their beers. The flavours are so beautifully balanced that you could drink it all night, though at 7.4% the head might not be quite so beautifully balanced the next morning! (Posted on 22/02/2015)

  25. Great IIPA Review by Ay Pee Horne
    Rating

Corner shop sweets nose, with plenty of hops to hint at what's to come. Crisp, refreshing and incredibly juicy. Strong stuff, not one for an afternoon sit-down session. (Posted on 25/11/2014)
