Liefmans Fruitesse

Liefmans Fruitesse is a classic Belgian fruit beer. Aromas and flavours are dominated by cherries, raspberries, and other berries along with a bit of marzipan. Satisfyingly sweet but not cloying, the fruits are on full-display and are accented by a bit of extra sweetness with no hops to distract. Moderately carbonated yet smooth and creamy, this sparkling ruby-red drink is an enjoyable fruit beer.

  1. Wifes favourite Review by Danessa

This is a delicious fruit beer. Much more quaffable than any others, as slightly less acidic and tart but still with full flavour. My wifes absolute favourite (Posted on 10/02/2017)

Perfect with lots of ice. Refreshing summer drink and a nice session beer too. Would recommend to beer and cider lovers alike. (Posted on 08/11/2016)

  5. Artificial Review by Beer Baron

Tasted over-fizzy and artificial, like cheap cherryade. Glad I tried it, but won't be ordering again. (Posted on 10/07/2016)

Really good fruit beer. Very full and zingy. Sweet and also tart in taste. Really drinkable and has a great dark red colour. (Posted on 23/06/2016)

  8. Light and fruity Review by Goldy
    Rating

Bought this beer for my wife. Smells fruity and she said that it also has a very berry aftertaste. Not very sweet. However she likes sweet drinks so a beer drinker might find it a little too sweet. It's light and great for a warm summers day. The more chilled the better. (Posted on 23/03/2016)

Very lively and reminded me of Cheeryade. I wont be having another of these that's for sure. (Posted on 18/03/2016)

  10. Easy drinking but a bit sweet Review by k3VW

I enjoy the sour fruit beers this one was a bit sweet for me. As others have said a bit like the fruity ciders rather than classic kriek or framboise Belgian styles. (Posted on 05/02/2016)

  11. Pretty sweet...but still good! Review by Bobmunkhouse

A little bit too sweet but still nice...maybe could be a bit more smooth if that makes sense... (Posted on 01/02/2016)

  12. Good but not as good as.... Review by Nate

Not as nice as the Framboise (also available at beerhawk) - but certainly not a bad fruit beer. Refreshing, if not a little sickly. (Posted on 04/01/2016)

Do very much prefer the Lambic side of this type of beer but not bad super chilled. Does have a cider feel. (Posted on 14/10/2015)

Like a mixed berry cider, not beery at all. Decent enough for what it is. Refreshing. (Posted on 09/09/2015)

  16. Too sweet Review by steven gilbert

Not really fruity, very sweet and fizzy. Not really beer-like, as someone said more like a cider. Not a bad drink though, just not what I expected. (Posted on 01/06/2015)

  18. Fruity, fizzy and sweet Review by Slapbang

This is one for people who enjoy fruit beers or for people who like fruity ciders.
The fruit taste is good but edges on the too sweet side for me personally although I can see why people like it (girlfriend loved it).
Still great for a refreshing summer drink. (Posted on 10/04/2015)

Sweet. Too sweet for me. I like the odd fruit beer but prefer the Lambic style of sour fruit (Posted on 22/03/2015)

  20. Fruity Review by Congo Red

Lovely, refreshing fruit flavours to the fore, although these completely drown out any taste of beer. A fine example of a modern fruit beer though, second only to the, now sadly defunct, Melville's. (Posted on 25/11/2014)

Sorry not my thing - this is the beer equivalent of fruit cider. 'nuff said. (Posted on 21/11/2014)
