  1. Good refreshing beer.
    Review by mcrobbj

My favourite of the Williams Bo's beers. Light and refreshing. Great summer beer. (Posted on 06/05/2017)

  2. Really Hope they Get it in Again
    Review by JoshBoy

Weird and wonderful beer from Scotland. Herby, not hoppy. Very sweet. (Posted on 04/05/2017)

  3. Different and I like it
    Review by Dave___

Never seen this before so thought it was worth a try, quite subtle and floral and didn't seem too sweet to me and a good price. (Posted on 02/05/2017)

  4. unusual
    Review by Math

Its not mind blowing, but its not terrible. Bit of spice, its sweet and malty, herby beer. (Posted on 01/05/2017)

  5. So unique
    Review by Slack Babbath

I have never drank a beer that taste like this one. It smells very sweet like berries, and taste initially like raspberries but then turns into a malty breadish taste. All this with a creamy mouth fill. A very strange beer but interesting and tasty. (Posted on 27/03/2017)

  6. Definitely worth a try.
    Review by MJ

It has great flavours, it is interesting and worth a try even if just to cross off your beer bucket list. (Posted on 24/03/2017)

  7. Refreshing and interesting
    Review by JP

I was very interested by the sound of the addition of heather and bogmyrtle and I was not disappointed. The taste is as advertised, light, refreshing and the flavours of the heather and bogmyrtle although present and pleasant do not overpower. (Posted on 19/03/2017)

  8. Fascinating and unique
    Review by Chrfur

This is well worth trying and a great one to challenge any beer drinkers to name the flavours. I'll definitely drink it again. A lovely sweetish smell, a bit like some honey ales. The taste reminds me of rhubarb without the sharpness, and a handful of raspberry leaves with bits of stalk thrown in, but still a hint of sweetness - the label's description is pretty accurate. The finish is smooth and dry. A super refreshing more-ish beer. (Posted on 04/02/2017)

  9. Nice and Refreshing
    Review by FR

One of my favourite Scottish beers. A really refreshing and nice tasting beer with a lovely mix of flavours. (Posted on 22/01/2017)

  10. Pleasantly surprised
    Review by Uncruliar

I'm not a big fan of floral beers so I wasn't at all sure what I would make of this beer. It definitely had a heathery taste to it which reminded me rather of the smel of childhood summers on the heathland on the edge of town. However, it was certainly not overpowering. I really enjoyed this beer and would certainly drink it again. (Posted on 16/01/2017)

  11. Interesting
    Review by Amy

Extremely drinkable and an interesting buy (Posted on 21/12/2016)

  12. Very refreshing
    Review by Jo

Clear golden amber colour, some carbonation, thin white head with some retention, strong fragrant floral yet slightly malty and yeasty aroma, thin slick mouthfeel with little carbonation, strong sweet herbal, caramel and slightly malty flavour, followed by a sweet aftertaste, a really nice alternative style. (Posted on 03/11/2016)

  13. Different

quite light, sweet and pleasant, very drinkable – such an interesting and unusual flavour (really taste the heather) (Posted on 02/09/2016)

  15. Good
    Review by Mark T

I enjoyed this and found it very refreshing..
I'm not sure I got a full floral taste but that's probably just my taste buds. Whether it tasted of heather & bogmyrtle I have no idea since I've never tried those ingredients!.
But I would definitely order this one again (Posted on 15/07/2016)

  16. Nice enough
    Review by Good head

My palette is probably not sensitive enough for this one. I get a hint of something, but nothing really comes through. My sense of smell is a bit rubbish so it smells like beer to me. (Posted on 24/06/2016)

    Worth trying. (Posted on 18/06/2016)

  18. Mmm bogmyrtle. Who doesn't like bogmyrtle?
    Review by Llamaman

Light and floral with a hint of sweetness.
Very drinkable but without the novelty factor of the ingredients it's not really a world-beater. (Posted on 15/03/2016)

  20. Refreshing
    Review by SteveP

Refreshing, floral with a little spiciness from the ginger coming through but I must admit to finding it somewhat bland. A perfect opportunity to try a seldom seen style and well done on Williams Bros. keeping they style going. (Posted on 10/03/2016)

  21. v interesting

this is sweet and nice (no real bitterness to speak of) and the flavour is very unusual. a must try i'd say! (Posted on 25/02/2016)

  23. Spicy
    Review by bottled

Lovely spicy aroma will be nicer in the summer than a cold January evening and I look forward to drinking it again later in the year (Posted on 31/01/2016)

  24. Heather nectar
    Review by John

Aroma has notes of flowers, mild spice, slight wood, a touch of sweet caramel, and a hint of fruits. Taste is balanced with caramel, bread, floral, touch of spice and wood, and almost flower petals at the en (Posted on 31/01/2016)

  25. Something a little different
    Review by Robin

If you\'re looking for something a little different from your typical ales and beers then look no further. Whilst the beer itself doesn\'t quite have the body of many of the other ales I\'ve purchased from beerhawk the floral and herbal flavours are more pronounced than initially expected and result in a very refreshing drink that lends itself well to a warm summers day. (Posted on 19/01/2016)

  26. Mmmmmmmmmmmm beer
    Review by Jim Jimmeney

Not sure that I buy into the 4000 year old recipe but this is a good beer one way or another probably not to everyone’s taste but certainly to mine. (Posted on 08/12/2015)

  27. It\'s ... different.
    Review by interzen

Floral, light, spicy, herbal - all words that could be used to describe this, since it uses heather, bog myrtle and ginger. Hops are there too, but you\'d be hard put to notice based on taste alone.

Floral notes aside, there\'s not really a lot else there - it\'s light, almost watery and although I imagine it\'d be quite refreshing on a stupidly hot summer day, we don\'t have many of those.

Not bad, but not really my thing either. (Posted on 29/08/2015)

A lovely beer for a summer evening , just a hint of floral bouquet that doesnt mask the hoppy flavour of this beer. (Posted on 19/06/2015)

  31. Oldie and goodie
    Review by Abdyman

If this really is the beer they were brewing 4000 years ago I would be more than happy to jump back in time. The floral and herb notes make this a great drink which I think will be perfectly suited to sitting in the garden on a sunny summers day, just need a sunny summers day now! (Posted on 27/04/2015)

  32. Tour de Force
    Review by Ady Gray

The oldest beer style still brewed today. This is quite simply magnificent. Floral, spicy, light. With its spice and herb style you could almost convince yourself you're drinking a medicinal herbal concoction. Then again, beer is medicinal. Isn't it...? (Posted on 27/02/2015)

  33. A floral delight
    Review by tehhaz

Based on an ancient recipe, Williams Brothers have pulled off a delightful beer. The heather gives it a light, floral note which enhances the flavour without overpowering it in any way at all. (Posted on 22/02/2015)
