Bone machine, it sounds unsettling, discordant and dark, 3 things which this beer absolutely isn’t! It’s all stripped down, an IPA showcasing its constituent parts with style and panache. It’s somewhere in between a classic American IPA and the more in vogue NEIPAs that we’re seeing so much of these days. It pours a deep, almost opaque, golden haze. The aroma wafts subtle lemon, pine, stone fruits and pineapple and the taste is crisp and light, strumming little arpeggios of sweet citrus, mango and peach built atop a lovely syrupy body which lays down just the right amount of sweetness to counterbalance the spicy bitter finish. The folks from County Cork have done it again, stripped to the bare bones, Bone Machine, will knock your socks off.
