Tiny Rebel Hadouken

From humble beginnings come great things and since starting in a garage in 2008 that clearly holds true for the Newport-based Tiny Rebel Brewery. Officially launching in 2012, Tiny Rebel has taken the craft beer scene by storm winning Gold, Silver, and Bronze in the 2013 Champion Beer of Wales competition and taking Gold again in 2014 for their Fubar Classic American Pale Ale.
Style IPA
Country British Beers
ABV 7.4%
Serving Temp 6-8 °C
Bottle Size 330ml
Fantastically interesting, very drinkable, and slightly dangerous at 7.4%, Hadouken is an American-style IPA packed full of three kinds of American hops. Citrus and tropical fruit aromas give way to some enthralling spicy and resiny notes that are backed up by a nicely balanced finish. Gorgeous!

  • Not bad

    Review by Boon

Not a bad beer from tiny rebel, this is one of the few beers that they have bottled that is of a similar quality to the draught version, (Posted on 07/01/2018)

  • A Surprise!

    Review by Paul

I was expecting an average drink - surprised to find an excellent beer which went down far far too easily! (Posted on 04/01/2018)

    Review by Michael

Not a bad ipa but not as good a brew as tiny rebels other stuff, normally a great brewery (Posted on 31/12/2017)

  • A bit bitter

    Review by Dudes Brews

A decent ipa quite nice fruity flavour initially and a fairly full bodied beer but bitterness seemed pretty high for me more into DIPA territory enjoyed it but not quite balanced for me (Posted on 23/12/2017)

  • Great beer

Nice fruity and slightly sweet IPA loads of flavour in this, very drinkable (Posted on 30/11/2017)

  • Not great

    Review by Brody

Some times tiny rebel fall down with bottled beers and this seems to be lacking something. The Abv indicates that this should be a punchy hoppy flavoured American style IPA, the actuality is that it is moderately flavoursome but nothing more special than an average session IPA just stronger (Posted on 25/11/2017)

  • Delicious

    Review by Bacchanalian

Bit different from run of the mill ipa. Slightly sweeter. Tonnes of fruit. Very nice (Posted on 22/11/2017)

  • A nice surprise

    Review by Daniel

It has quite a citrus fruit taste with plenty of hops. A great little IPA. I also like the bottle top. (Posted on 15/11/2017)

Great beer with a great name and label. Can't really go wrong with any Tiny Rebel beers. (Posted on 05/09/2017)

  • Kicker

    Review by AdyG

Plenty of citrus and hop kick from this belter. That ABV is a kicker too (Posted on 30/07/2017)

  • Steady effort

    Review by Marit

Had a few beers for TB - this colab with The Rake's Glyn Roberts pours hazy yellow with foamy white head. Rich aromas: caramel, American earthy hops and spicy citrus. I like the strong malty aftertaste adds a lovely sweetness. Not very bitter for an IPA, but a very enjoyable beer. (Posted on 27/06/2017)

  • Fruity

    Review by Jo

Cloudy, golden colour, strong bitter grapefruit and sweet strawberry aroma, medium smooth mouthfeel, very hoppy and slightly spicy citrus flavour, bitter, lingering earthy aftertaste. (Posted on 26/06/2017)

    Review by John

Tiny rebel is such a good brewery with draught beers, very inconsistent with bottles and cans though, this one is one of the better ones I have tried, a very good IPA (Posted on 09/05/2017)

stupendous hoppy brew and the strength of a hammer!
    my favourite! (Posted on 17/11/2016)

  • Nice IPA

    Review by Jo

Cloudy golden coloured, hardly any carbonation, thin white head disappears straight away, strong bitter grapefruit and sweet strawberry aroma, medium smooth mouthfeel with slight carbonation, very hoppy and slightly spicy citrus flavour, bitter lingering earthy aftertaste, not the best IPA I've had but still very good. (Posted on 02/11/2016)

  • Brilliant beer

    Review by Chris H

This is an exceptional beer, best in class for me! Don't be put of by the name, yes it's strong but it's well balanced and fruity. (Posted on 27/05/2016)

  • Not as punchy as you might think

    Review by Bruce

Served at 8 degrees in a IPA glass.

The taste does not do justice to a 7.4% brew it is like a sneaky backhander as it tastes and drinks like a weaker IPA.

It was missing the usual big fruit notes for me and had a almost floral sweet taste to it, not a negative but different from what I expected
    (Posted on 16/05/2016)

  • Exceptional

    Review by HeyBeers!

A really great beer, plenty of hoppy awesomeness! Doesn't taste as strong as it actually is, so careful you don't end up Street Fighting after downing a few bottles (Posted on 06/05/2016)

  • Avergae

    Review by Andrew

From from the best in its class. Lacking something (Posted on 05/05/2016)

  • Wow....

    Review by Chris H

  • Very very good

    Review by Alex

Tropical fruits flavour with good malt and hop balance, very good to sip (Posted on 17/04/2016)

  • Not l33t

    Review by Llamaman

The other reviews leave me wondering if I'm drinking the same beer!
There is something quite funky about the nose (and not in a saison way) that I didn't much like.
The taste itself is a bit flat and a found the whole thing to be a bit lifeless and dull. Aftertaste OK but doesn't linger long enough.
Maybe a bad batch, or my bottle had gone off, because Tiny Rebel are a good brewery and 7.4% IPA should be delivering a lot more flavour and hop character than this. (Posted on 15/04/2016)

  • Lovely IPA

    Review by Player 1 wins!!!

Strong, strong like a Ryu fireball HADOUKEN. Very hoppy. Tropical fruit tastes, possibly mango? Not sure, too busy drinking beers to be eating mangos. The label and bottle cap are cool. Nice little addition for my shelf (Posted on 07/04/2016)

  • Brilliant

    Review by Ole

LOVELY ipa. Almost 5/5, very fruity, hoppy and a good bitter finish (Posted on 29/03/2016)

  • Hop to it

    Review by Ady Gray

The mix of 3 hops gives this some kick. Couple that with an ABV of 7.4% and this is one dangerous brew. Lovely ;-) (Posted on 23/08/2015)

  • Excellent Hop Bomb IPA

    Review by jjpm

This is BIG on hops. Some nice tropical fruit aromas but a lot of grassy bitterness.A really in yer face American-style IPA. Despite the ABV it's easy to drink. Great stuff. (Posted on 11/08/2015)

  • Street Fightin' brew

    Review by interzen

This beer is named after a special move from the 'Street Fighter' video game, and they've named it well because it will knock your socks off.

Even before you've poured it you can tell that this is an American-inspired IPA through and through - it's like being hit in the face with a sack full of hops. Drink it, and it's like being smacked in the mouth by same.

It's a big hitter, and at 7-and-a-bit% ABV you're not going to be drinking a lot of them, at least if you don't want to feel Hadouken'd the following morning. A sippin' IPA, if ever there were such a thing, and well worth it.

Probably Tiny Rebel's best beer - two thumbs up. (Posted on 30/06/2015)

  • Nice and hoppy

    Review by JoPoGo

Good hoppy kick to the beer. A little strong if you're a label watcher, but it doesn't feel like a strong IPA. (Posted on 18/05/2015)

  • Fruity punch.

    Review by Mark

Very easy drinking considering the strength due to the tropical fruit flavour then a nice hoppy punch to go with it. (Posted on 14/05/2015)

  • Fruity & Powerful

    Review by wreck

Flavours of pineapple, mango and tropical fruit, with plenty of malt. Caramel sweetness too. Thick and oily in the mouth. Really good IPA. (Posted on 30/03/2015)

  • I'm In Love

    Review by Andy

This is simply one of the best IPA's I've ever tasted, delcious hit of mango with the first swallow. Only problem is it go's down so quickly. (Posted on 04/02/2015)

  • My 'go-to' IPA

    Review by Ay Pee Horne

Every bottle I've ever had (probably too many) had been excellent. Far too punchy to session, it makes a nice treat on a hot summer day. One of Tiny Rebel's best efforts yet. Very reasonably priced too. (Posted on 25/11/2014)

  • An absolute must buy

    Review by Beer Hawk Tom

Big hitting IPA with evidence of a combination of three American hop varieties. Genuine “WOW” factor when sipping this beer for the first time. An absolute must buy. (Posted on 03/11/2014)

  • Brilliant Beer

    Review by Beer Hawk Will

You wouldn't want too many at 7.4% but I can't get enough of this beer (Posted on 30/10/2014)
