Details
From humble beginnings come great things and since starting in a garage in 2008 that clearly holds true for the Newport-based Tiny Rebel Brewery. Officially launching in 2012, Tiny Rebel has taken the craft beer scene by storm winning Gold, Silver, and Bronze in the 2013 Champion Beer of Wales competition and taking Gold again in 2014 for their Fubar Classic American Pale Ale.
Style Pale Ale
Country British Beers
ABV 4.4%
Serving Temp 6-8
Bottle Size 33ml
This is it: Fubar is this year's Champion Beer of Wales Gold award winner. No one things sticks out from the other in it, it's just a prime blend of spice, toasted malts, some lemony malt-sweetness, earthiness, and pine-resin flavours all perfectly set in balance with a prickly bitter finish. This rather sessionable and medium-light bodied Classic American Pale Ale is an award winner for a reason.

  • FUBAR

    Review by Adam

If you like pale ales, you will definitely like FUBAR. An excellent balance of citrus and bitterness. One of my absolute favourites. Fans of Punk IPA or Brewdog’s Dead Pony should like this a lot. (Posted on 20/02/2018)

  • Lacking

    Review by Philip

Like their beers, but this one lacked a bit of oomph for me (Posted on 14/02/2018)

  • Another great rebel

    Review by Richard

Not the best beer Tiny Rebel do but I don't think they make a bad beer so this is definitely worth a go. (Posted on 27/11/2017)

Good session pale ale. Easy drinking, refreshing with lots of hoppy fruitiness finished with a big npbitter kick though. (Posted on 15/04/2017)

  • Fubar

Fubar - means to me f-d up beyond all recognition? well this beer is superb in contrast - very hoppy and great taste if you like flavour (Posted on 17/11/2016)

A pleasant session beer, balancing biscuity malt with hippiness. (Posted on 19/08/2016)

  • A solid session ale

    Review by Danny

For a session ale, I found this tasted wonderful and the balance was just right. It was slightly sweeter than others and was very refreshing, I\'d recommend Tiny Rebel as all of their beers are awesome (Posted on 19/01/2016)

  • Not the worse but not the best

    Review by SeánP1916

When something is called Rebel it immediately gets the juices flowing. The grenade label on the bottle adds to the anticipation. This beer is going to blow my taste buds and mind you think. Unfortunately what you end up with is more like a party popper crack than a grenade explosion. It’s a little bit too sweet even by IPA standards if I am being truly honest about it. Not particularly unpleasant and still drinkable but would be way down my list especially as it came in the same order as Brewdog’s Hardcore IPA. (Posted on 01/12/2015)

  • Light refreshing ale

    Review by Loz

Great tasting pale ale with a subtle bitter finish. Could drink lots of these of a nice summer evening! (Posted on 17/07/2015)

  • Champion Beer???

    Review by Steve

A very average beer and very disappointing considering it is a Champion Beer of Wales Gold award winner. Nothing special and lacking body. I didn't know what F.U.B.A.R stood for until someone told me whilst I was drinking it and that annoyed me too. Not promoting responsible drinking. (Posted on 17/05/2015)

  • Nice summer beer

    Review by wreck

Nice beer, if not a little lacking in body... would be great for knocking back on a sunny day with a BBQ! (Posted on 18/04/2015)

  • Summer Beer

    Review by Jackankanory

Cracking little beer for the warm summer, the label describes it perfectly. Definite session beer. (Posted on 13/04/2015)

First I've had from Tiny Rebel but it's a nice session beer. (Posted on 04/02/2015)
