Thornbridge Huck

Thornbridge Huck

Style IPA
Country British Beers
ABV 7.4
Serving Temp No
Bottle Size 330ml
The DIPA is a thing and trust Thornbridge to nail another one. Huck is one of those DIPAs, clocking in at 7.4%, that gives off a warming alcohol glow, and is rich in melon, honey – it’s certainly on the sweeter side of some DIPAs we’ve seen. Yet, as we say with pretty much all Thornbridge beers, it is incredibly well balanced. This isn’t a hop bomb, but balanced by a lingering piney bitterness. This is just one of those beers you sip and think ‘they nailed it again’.

Product Reviews

  • Amazing...

    Review by Deadderek

Thornbridge doing DIPA is a godsend for beer lovers, and does exactly what you’d expect: more fruit? More hops, more bitterness (but not too much). Like Jaipur on steroids. (Posted on 10/12/2017)

    Review by Ben

Belting DIPA this. Great brewery :) (Posted on 17/08/2017)

  • Not bad at all...!

    Review by Mr T

Pours hazy golden / amber, medium carbonation, 2 fingers of a soapy head and nice sticky lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits and citrus. Tastes bitter, with a good malty backbone and strong hops with mango, passion fruit, pine and citrus. Rich mouth feel, smooth, soft carbonation, bitter finish. A very nice, well balanced and typical DIPA. (Posted on 16/08/2017)

  • 4.5 - Would buy again.

    Review by TonyL

Missus liked this one - good enough for me. An IPA without the extreme bitterness of some IPAs. (Posted on 06/08/2017)

  • Much prefer it to Halcyon

    Review by Jo

Amber colour, tropical fruit (citrus, pineapple and mango) and pine aroma, medium slick mouthfeel, sweet citrus, pine and woody flavour, bitter, piney, slightly hoppy aftertaste. (Posted on 29/07/2017)

as ever with thornbridge, top notch beer. I fully enjoyed this beer. (Posted on 21/07/2017)

  • Lovely..!

    Review by Trott

Clear orange amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, citrus and hops. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of grapefruit, orange, sweet malt and floral hops. Bittersweet with a dry hoppy finish. Pretty good. (Posted on 10/07/2017)

  • Hop-tastic!

    Review by Good Head

Gorgeously golden with a slight haze and a small frothy head. Has an overly hoppiness and a strength in flavour. Sweet in flavour, but not overly so. A really good one well worth trying. (Posted on 16/04/2017)

  • Dangerously drinkable!

    Review by JDW38

Another fantastic Thornbridge offering which really goes down far more quickly and easily than a 7.4% beer should! Everything is very well balanced from the slight warming effect of the strength through to the hop bitterness and orange fruit taste. Simply gorgeous! (Posted on 15/03/2017)

  • Huck me!

    Review by Llamaman

I'm almost getting bored of writing glowing reviews for Thornbridge beers. They're so consistent at delivering delicious, balanced beers of a variety of styles that I might as well say nothing and just point at the label.
I'm not bored of exploring their beers, though, so excuse me whilst I take a sip... (Posted on 11/02/2017)

  • Jaipur on steroids

    Review by BillyB

Like Jaipur on steroids but way to easy to drink! (Posted on 04/02/2017)

  • What you would expect from Thorbridge

    Review by wgardner

Very much like Jaipur, it's clean, crisp, and hoppy. It's nice and hoppy, but and the hops are quite acidic. Not bad! (Posted on 03/02/2017)
