Product Reviews

  • Not bad at all...!

    Review by Mr T

Hazy red with a small off white head. Aroma of tart and sweet raspberries, light funk, mineral and vinous notes, oak and light citrus. Flavour is light moderate sweet and above moderate sour. Medium bodied with a sour burn in the finish and soft carbonation. (Posted on 10/08/2017)

    Review by TRott

Pours reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of raspberry, sour berries, strawberry, red wine and hop. Light sweetness, heavy sour, lightly salted. Medium body, slight watery texture, average carbonation. Finish is sour, fruity and salty. (Posted on 25/06/2017)

  • Outstanding

    Review by Beeeeer

Ruby colour, small off-white head. Tart berryish aroma with raspberries. Medium-bodied. Tartish berry juice - raspberries. Burgundy wineous tannines are evident too. Nice framboise-like sour ale. (Posted on 09/06/2017)

    Review by Beebo

Pours slightly hazy brown with a large off-white head. Aroma has quite some raspberry sweetness upfront, oak, caramel, some lactic acid. Taste is soft sour with lots of rapsberry sweetness, wood, some lactic acid, some wine, slightly dry finish. Medium body and carbo. Nice stuff, but a pretty high price tag. (Posted on 25/04/2017)

  • Similar to Love Among Ruins... so that = excellent

    Review by thankgodforhops

Another fantastic sour ale, aged in Burgundy wine barrels with raspberries. This is the "sister" beer of Love Among Ruins, which was a gold medal winner at the World Beer Cup 2016. This beer won silver and I'm by no way surprised by that.

Like with Love Among Ruins, it is tart without being vinegary and has a fruity raspberry flavour. Very drinkable. (Posted on 01/01/2017)

  • Silver medal?

    Review by AdyG

Perhaps this only wond the silver medal because the gold medal winner was soooo good. It is by the way. This is tart and sweet and superb (Posted on 14/12/2016)
