Brewery Info

A forerunner of the British craft beer movement, Thornbridge Brewery was started in the grounds of the eponymous Thornbridge Hall in the heart of the Peak District. Aiming to make a range of cask beers with a modern twist, they’ve won over 350 national and international awards - pretty good going for what started out as a tiny 10-barrell brewery.

A couple of interesting facts for you - the co-founder of Brewdog actually started out at Thornbridge back in the day, helping to create Thornbridge’s flagship IPA Jaipur, and in 2014 Thornbridge won “Best Drinks Producer” in the BBC Good Food Awards….beating Brewdog to the top spot. Although they’re seen as a more traditional brewer, Thornbridge also has a good mix of ‘new’ creations making them a firm favourite with us.

Great flavour but lacks mouthfeel

This is really good - hoppy and refreshing but it really is a hit too thin and almost lemonad-y in mouthfeel rather than having any body to it or malt backbone which are very noticeable when there’s no alcohol in it.

A very good, almost great no alcohol beer but just lacks some of the richness that would make it one of the best out there...

Lifted fruity nose but the mouthfeel is thin. Nice bitterness and flavour from the hops but gets taken over with the tinny / chalky taste that some AF beers get. Overall okay but some others are superior.
Refreshing pale ale

Nice beer in hot weather, refreshing and quite tasty for an alcohol free beer.
