This unusual 7.5% ABV sour ale from The White Hag in Ballymote is brewed with Irish heather tips instead of hops. Fruity yet tart, Beann Gulban has soft citrus notes, red berries and sweet toffee malts contrasting with a mouth puckering sour character.

Brewery Info

The White Hag is an award winning craft brewery from Sligo, up in the north west of Ireland. A young team with a master brewer from Ohio, we exploded on the Irish brewing scene in 2014 with a huge range of unique and banging beers. Word spread fast, and we’ve become popular in Italy, France, and the UK, as well as recently launching in Russia, Netherlands, Germany and China.

Drank at about 7 degrees as it is a hot day, lovely sour hit but very easy to drink, could easily down a few more on a summers days.
