A White Ghost has been resurrected! Stone Berlin go back to basics, with their own take on the classic Berliner Weisse. You won’t find any fancy fruit or weird ingredients. It smells just as it should, tangy, funky and dry. It’s all salty and sour to taste, with a beautiful fruity yeastiness bubbling up mid-swig. Fresh, crisp, sour and refreshing all at once, this is a beer for a hot summer’s day in a biergarten or for a dark cold evening dreaming of the summer months.
Stone is, without any doubt, one of the world’s greatest breweries. Right from their beginnings in San Diego in 1996, founders Greg Koch and Steve Wagner have grabbed the trademark gargoyle by the horns with massive beers such as Ruination and Arrogant Bastard, as well as the highly-hopped and highly drinkable IPAs. This is a brewery that is creative, innovative and very passionate. There is no compromise on quality.
In 2014, Stone made the audacious decision to open a brewery and bistro in Berlin after looking at 130 sites in nine countries. Now fully open, Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens is set in a former gasworks. As well as a restaurant, bar and shop, this brewery now supplies even fresher beer across Europe. Our co-founders were lucky enough to get a sneak-peak of the facility, and we're among the first to sell Stone Berlin beers.
