Brewery Info

Since 1873, the Friart family has brewed beers in Le Roeulx, Belgium under the Brasserie St Feuillien name. The brewery is named after a 7th century Irish monk who was beheaded and martyred in a nearby charcoal forest. A chapel was built on the site, followed by an abbey in which the monks brewed beer until the French Revolution.

The Friart family resurrected the brewing tradition along with the St. Feuillien name, brewing award-winning abbey-style beers including what is considered one of the best Tripels in the world.

Most tripels can be too thick on the mouthfeel, which is to be expected because of their strength. This one isn't; it's quite light and very drinkable
Nice saison

Pours a hazy golden colour with thick white head and a high level of carbonation. Aromas are a combination of spice, fruit, bread, hops and some hay....very complex. Taste is rich and complex with fruity malt sweetnesss, spice, hop bitterness, a bready malt character with quite a long dry tart finish. Really interesting beer, great to try something different.
Strong and fruity

Another complex strong Belgian beer. To be honest i found it too strong for my palate and prefer the less intense Blond St Feuillien.

As others have said, this is a solid but unremarkable tripel.
