Midsummer Melancholy; it’s something that the Scandinavians suffer, so they say, and perhaps we Brits suffer it too. When it’s rained for 4 weeks straight and you’ve forgotten what sun even feels like. This beer is for just such a time. Dark and brooding, Sori Brewing and AF Brew (Russia) have produced a Baltic Porter (Go figure!) with such depth and complexity that it will completely broadside you. Brewed with Kenyan coffee, bourbon vanilla and smoked malts, it’s an absolute tour-de-force in balance. You’ll find roasted and smoked malts, vanilla, a light coffee whisper and dark chocolate; not one flavour overriding the other, which can happen if you’re not careful. Sori are becoming widely known for their delectable Imperial Stouts, so if that’s your thing, Sori need to be on your list!
"Sori Brewing is located in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn. Backed by crowdfunding investors, Sori Brewing is on a mission to make the world more fun with better craft beer. Started by two Finns who moved away from their home country to brew without compromises. Not far, but far enough to make it count. Together with an amazing team, these guys are dedicated to bring you joy in a form of craft beer."
