Siren created the Vermont Tea Party Pale Ale using their own house yeast strain that they cultivated from Vermont. Brewed with Earl Grey Tea and lemon zest, we like this beer but, truthfully, we think Boston does a better tea party. We got some notes on the nose of orange, tangerine and florals but it was nicely reserved. The palate, likewise, picked up notes of orange, pineapple, florals and cut grass alongside some nice caramel malts. While there were definitely some hints of it in there, don't expect this Pale Ale to taste like your afternoon tea, rather it's just a nice, easy-drinking beer.

Brewery Info

Siren Craft Brew don’t do boring. Even among the core range, usually reserved for the more ‘commercial’ beers, includes a 6% breakfast stout, a red IPA and Calypso, a Berliner-style sour beer. (What a wonderful beery world we live in). But this is a brewery that doesn’t know how to stop – there’s a huge range of seasonal, experimental and collaborative beers, the best of which we’re lucky enough to stock.

Yet, underpinning the whole operation is the ethos that beer should be exciting and enjoyed in the same way as fine wines, yet balanced and drinkable. It has been a remarkable journey since founder Darron Anley started the brewery in 2012, and we can’t wait to see where it will go next.

Hit and miss with Siren but this was a middle range beer
Very very easy to drink...

A little light on the alcohol content but not so on flavour! I absolutely loved this. It goes down like silk. The problem is I finished it in two minutes meaning I had to open another bottle.

Lovely little well-flavoured pale. Refreshing and drinkable and slightly quirky.
Good, but not Gunnamatta

Yeastie Boys Gunnamatta is a better Earl Grey pale, but I would certainly buy this again.

A nice twist.

Golden and clear with a frothy head. Has a good level of bitterness and some really good flavours
A shame it has been discontinued!

Lovely bergamot and lemon aroma. Smooth on the palate with a sharp fizz at the end. Refreshing taste with a citrus and slight bergamot hint. Such a shame it has been discontinued.
Time for tea.

Very nice, slight Earl Grey hint, fruity with a slight bitterness, could easily sink a few of these.

Bought this for the novelty tea aspect. Unfortunately can't taste any tea, or in fact much of anything! Good option for those who like very light beers.
