Siren are a relatively new brewery that has enjoyed a rocket-like launch and really established themselves as a corner of Britain's craft beer scene in a short space of time. Established in 2010, they've won awards as England's Best New Brewery and were runners up for the World's Best New Brewery title in 2014. Bold and compelling with a quirkiness that runs through every element of their creation. The bottles look great and the beers tastes sublime. Simply craft beer without the ego at it's best A 4.5% pale ale with spicy, grassy aromas and a taste of grapefruit and apricot. Undercurrent is part pale, part oats and part caramel barley with swirls of bold, bready and nutty malt into a concoction of spicy, citrus, floral hops.

Brewery Info

Siren Craft Brew don’t do boring. Even among the core range, usually reserved for the more ‘commercial’ beers, includes a 6% breakfast stout, a red IPA and Calypso, a Berliner-style sour beer. (What a wonderful beery world we live in). But this is a brewery that doesn’t know how to stop – there’s a huge range of seasonal, experimental and collaborative beers, the best of which we’re lucky enough to stock.

Yet, underpinning the whole operation is the ethos that beer should be exciting and enjoyed in the same way as fine wines, yet balanced and drinkable. It has been a remarkable journey since founder Darron Anley started the brewery in 2012, and we can’t wait to see where it will go next.

Happy with this one

I was lucky enough to get one of these in a mystery box. Lots of fruit and that undercurrent is oats and malt. Very interesting IPA and would live another!

Obviously taste is subjective... however, I tried a pint of this (not from the bottle) and it just left me wanting more. It was perfectly balanced with great taste and after taste. As a home-brewer I make some great IPAs and am constantly looking for the best one I can find from micro/nano breweries. This one is awesome. It's the best I've tasted. It has the citrus, grapefruit taste as is the trend at the moment but with an light oat/caramel undercurrent... genius.
Bloody great beer

Hoppy with a great aftertaste
Crisp, caramel and hops

Very fresh and oaty and easy drinking. There's a bunch of flavours in this one but the oats and caramel are the most predominant and complement the hops and citrus flavours.
