Siren Liquid Mistress

Siren Liquid Mistress

Siren are a relatively new brewery that has enjoyed a rocket-like launch and really established themselves as a corner of Britain's craft beer scene in a short space of time. Established in 2010, they've won awards as England's Best New Brewery and were runners up for the World's Best New Brewery title in 2014. Bold and compelling with a quirkiness that runs through every element of their creation. The bottles look great and the beers tastes sublime. Simply craft beer without the ego at it's best

Product Reviews

  • Maltilicious

    Review by Dudes Brews

This one is full on with malts, taste is very rich almost like malt loaf or fruitcake but with a good kick of hops in there its very dark and maybe a Red IPA isn't the best description for such a malt forward beer even though it definitely has an IPA level of hopping either way its very tasty and another good effort from Siren (Posted on 13/01/2018)

  • Favourite of theirs

    Review by Rory32

Have tried a few of Siren Craft Brew's beers, and liked all of them. However, this is the best of the lot, a lovely well-balanced deep Red IPA, and is already one of my favourite red ales. (Posted on 15/12/2017)

  • Not quite what I expected

    Review by Daniel

As a red IPA I thought it would be lighter in colour and it pours a very dark red. It is very malty and fruity yet not too heavy. Not quite for my palate personally but I can appreciate another interesting brew from Siren. (Posted on 04/06/2017)

  • Just re-ordered, so it must be good !

    Review by Simon

I've bought Siren beers before and I think they make innovative and interesting beer. This has a nice red tinge to it and full toasty, malty, caramel flavour. Nice balance with the sweetness and bitterness, coupled with an underlying fruitcake quality to it. Very nice. (Posted on 31/05/2017)

  • Rich amber colour

    Review by Ian

Another old favourite. Lovely, rich amber colour and full of fruit and hops. (Posted on 12/04/2017)

  • Niiice

    Review by Beebo

Pours dark black with chinks of red. Nose of roasted malts, red fruit, resin. Taste is balanced, malty, toast and marmite. Lovely. (Posted on 07/04/2017)

  • Spot on

    Review by Snozz

Hazy, amber-golden colour with a thin, white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, toasted notes, floral hops, biscuits, resins and caramel malts. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with citrus fruits and caramel malts. Lovely.

  • Very nice

    Review by MH

Dark reddish amber color, creamy reddish foam. Aroma: a little yeast, malt, yeast, spicy-fruity hops. Taste: juicy fruit and citrus, hops and caramel malt, pleasant and smooth hop bitterness. (Posted on 23/01/2017)

  • Quite a Bitter IPA

    Review by James

If you enjoy a darker and more bitter IPA, then have a try of this. If not, then it won't be for you (Posted on 23/01/2017)

  • Amazing beer

    Review by Ben

One of the best amber ales around, a well rounded soft, caramel like flavors with a strong grassy finish, love it. (Posted on 19/12/2016)

  • Too bitter for my taste

    Review by Birky

A bitter red. Big flavour but not entirely pleasant. Very dark colour. Not the subtlest beer, not one to savour (Posted on 10/10/2016)

  • Beery Nice!

    Review by Gary999

I enjoyed this red IPA from Siren. I was pleasantly surprised and it was right up my street as an IPA fan. Would definitely order again. (Posted on 02/08/2016)

  • Tasty and enjoyable

    Review by Harry

I thought this was a rather good beer and Ive been impressed by Siren. (Posted on 22/06/2016)

  • Average

    Review by Jo

Citrus aroma, lovely dark brown colour, bitter grapefruit taste with a light, dry mouthfeel. Not bad. (Posted on 18/05/2016)

  • Superb bitter drop

    Review by Geofff

Upfront bitterness and the wild hops do not overpower this ... a contemporary take on some classic brewing perfection ... yet another Siren triumph (Posted on 12/04/2016)

  • Thumps up

    Review by Blind_Drunk

once again a very pleasant drink from Siren, even when it ma not be a style I am that faund of they also produce a good beer. (Posted on 30/01/2016)

  • Intriguing

    Review by Llamaman

Black IPAs are _so_ last year, so welcome the Red IPA... :)
That said, it\'s a pretty dark red and I\'m sure I got a taste of coffee, so this is really a kind of weird red/black hoppy IPA. It tastes a lot better than that sounds! (Posted on 28/01/2016)

  • Brilliant red

    Review by Danny

This is how you do a red ale, a tasty and smooth IPA (Posted on 27/01/2016)

  • Excellent Red IPA

    Review by Ian

Great hoppy aroma, with full-bodied bitterness. Will definitely be re-ordering. (Posted on 05/01/2016)

  • Gift

    Review by Lisa

Boyfriend got this and other beers with a gift voucher for our anniversary - he was very happy and this was his favorite out of 4 beers he got, seems to have gone down a treat as he's considering using his voucher for more of these! (Posted on 14/07/2015)

  • Fair enough

    Review by RachB

This is, for me at least, a passable IPA. I'm just not a fan of that West Coast style. Siren have interpreted it fine though (Posted on 10/07/2015)

  • Dark red IPA

    Review by aaron_biffy

A dark red IPA with notes of treakle, molasses, raisins and cocoa. Not your usual red IPA with all these porter flavours. (Posted on 04/07/2015)

  • Cracking

    Review by Mark

Amazing Red Ale, bursting with flavour with a hint of dark berry aftertaste. (Posted on 14/05/2015)

  • Top-notch amber ale/IPA hybrid type of thing ...

    Review by interzen

Siren have done it again - whilst I've not tried everything in their range (yet!) this one is right up there, and even though the American-style IPA market is extremely crowded, both with 'genuine' US-brewed beers and their UK-derived counterparts, there's something about Liquid Mistress that puts it a cut above the rest. Well worth a try. (Posted on 20/03/2015)

  • Not one of Siren Craft's best beers

    Review by Stuart O

Semi-decent Red IPA but if you like more of a fruity flavour then go with Sound Wave or 10 Finger Discount (Posted on 17/02/2015)

  • Rich tasting red ale excellent

    Review by Bz

Probably my favourite red ale ..siren make some fantastic beers and this is right up trhere, Rich malt backbone and tastes of raisins and dark fruits in here (Posted on 09/02/2015)

    Review by Ay Pee Horne

Cracking hybrid of red ale and IPA. Very more-ish and slightly chewy. Will buy again! (Posted on 12/12/2014)
