The history of wheat beer is also the history of the Schneider brewing family and its famous Schneider Weisse. A brewery of great history and tradition, Schneider can be credited with resurrecting a style of beer that came close to extinction in the late 1800s and has built a reputation of being the most distinguished and exclusive purveyor of wheat beers in Germay Pouring hazy amber, beneath this full-bodied Bavarian wheat beer's fluffy white head you'll find notes of bready yeast, banana and clove along with nutmeg and a touch of fruitiness. Before 1872, breweries in Bavaria were not allowed to produce wheat beer - that is, until Georg Schneider bought the brewing rights from the king. Since then, Schneider Weisse Original has been brewed to the same traditional recipe, making it a true classic!

An enjoyable and easy going wheat beer, nothing too aggressive or memorable but would give it another go.

A lovely balanced weisse bier perfect on a hot day when you can enjoy this chilled to perfection.
Or anytime straight from the fridge and relax.

Really good weissbier. Not as strong in flavour as other German wheat beers but still a nice drop.
