Roosters Baby-Faced Assassin

Roosters Baby-Faced Assassin

Style IPA
Country British Beers
ABV 6.10%
Serving Temp 6 to 8 °C
Bottle Size 330ml

Rooster’s Baby Faced Assassin is a crazy delicious single-hopped IPA using 100% Citra hops. So delicious, in fact, that it recently won a Bronze medal at the 2015 International Brewing Awards. Not bad for what started out as a homebrew recipe!

This gorgeous IPA starts out with intense citrus and tropical fruit aromas whilst flavours of mango, lemon, orange zest and flowers are complemented by a nice, firm bitterness. With a long, dry finish and moderate carbonation, it’s not only an award-winner but also a favourite of our Sommelier’s.

  • The pick of the bunch

    Review by Andrew

Have to agree with most people who review Rooster's beers, this is the pick of the bunch.

Having first tried Fort Smith I wasn't sure this would be as great as people were saying but it's smooth and very tasty. I'd like a little more fruit but otherwise this is a firm staple - good job (Posted on 08/03/2017)

  • Really good example

Bought this as part of a big IPA sweep and so far has really been one of my favourites, big hop flavour, crisp, refreshing and a good example that's not at all underwhelming. (Posted on 03/03/2017)

  • Great Beer - only 40 days to drink it!

    Review by BwindiBoy

This beer is great and you can drink a few without any problems. Just as well, since my delivery received today is best before June 1st, 2016, giving me just 40 days to drink it all - that wasn't my intention; it was meant to last me through the summer. Disappointing! (Posted on 21/04/2016)

    Review by Abdyman

A great IPA which is very drinkable, this can be a problem as it isn't exactly session strength.

Lovely citrus balanced with the hops. Buy it now and drink it straight away, should be great with a BBQ now the weather is picking up. (Posted on 31/03/2016)

  • Crafty Can

    Review by tehhaz

So authentically American is this IPA that I was gobsmacked to find it was made in Yorkshire! Your standard US style mango and citrus overload, nicely kicked into touch by the bitter aftertaste. (Posted on 25/12/2015)

  • A great IPA

    Review by Steve

I don't know why but I wasn't expecting much from this beer, probably because it's in a can, but it's delicious. Refreshingly bitter but not for the light hearted. You couldn't ask for more from an IPA. I'd recommend to anyone who likes this style of beer and will be buying again for myself. (Posted on 17/05/2015)

  • Remarkably good for a can

    Review by Wvari

  • Great Beer Great Name

    Review by Jackankanory

One of the better IPA's I have had. Lovely bitter taste, very easy to drink despite the strength. (Posted on 27/04/2015)

  • A Strong IPA

    Review by Cannybrew

Roosters Baby Faced Assassin pours a lovely golden with 1 finger of soft foam head. Smells are strong citrus and mango, taste has a lovely fruity bitterness. Again there is citrus, orange and pineapple. Mouthfeel is thick and long lasting and nicely bitter at the end. A strong American IPA. (Posted on 18/04/2015)
