Oyster Stout…Oyster…Stout. Not words we ever expected to find in conjunction but then, the craft beer revolution is all about weird and wonderful flavour combinations. Enter Irish maestros Porterhouse Brewing Company, not your average brewery and you certainly have to think a little differently to brew something like this. It’s roasty and dark but with a touch of the sea, a noticeable “minerality” that comes from the fresh oyster shucks chucked in during the boil. It’s peculiar, but actually delicious. It conjures memories of being at the seaside and breathing in the good sea air.

Deep, dark ruby red in colour with an off white head. Tastes quite sweet at first, then a salty, dry finish.

This stout has a pleasing aroma, with a silky smooth texture. It is very sweet on the tongue at first which quickly gives way to a salty hit of the sea that leads to a dry finish.
First taste to the last - Fantastic

A beer that gives that "Oooh nice" from the first sip. Heartbroken when I reached the bottom of the glass. Thankfully I ordered more than one!
