Country American Beers
ABV 6.5%

Bottle Size 355ml
Leading the pack for American pale ales, Dale's Pale Ale is one of the biggest reasons why Oskar Blues is routinely looked at as the brewery setting the standard for canned beers. Chocked full of four kinds of American hops, the aromas and flavours are distinctively American in nature: orange, orange zest and earthy pine. Caramel malts complement a nice bitterness and the light body and moderate carbonation leaves a refreshing finish. Adored by can-loving hipsters and beer newbies alike, this beer is a refrigerator must-have.

Wanting to give this a run out for a while! Great ale. Caramely, crisp, then bitter, piney beauty! (Posted on 02/06/2017)

  5. A great find
    Review by lukec36

This is sold in my local Tesco Express for £1.99 a can or even better 3 for £5 which is an absolute steal!
Really hoppy and strong, but not too much so, and packed with citrus flavour (even tastes a little 'creamy' - well I know what I mean...)

One of my favourite American canned pale ales. (Posted on 22/01/2017)

  6. Nice
    Review by Blaineyboy

Nice and easy ale, could be very popular if sold in supermarkets (Posted on 11/01/2017)

  7. One of my favourites
    Review by MH

Pours a clear brown colour with a fluffy white head, aroma is light and hoppy with hints of fruit, taste is bitter and soft malt with a dry bitter finish finish. (Posted on 09/01/2017)

  8. Perfect pale ale
    Review by MH

Can't be beaten.... classic pale ale that packs a punch. (Posted on 06/01/2017)

  9. My go to pale ale
    Review by MH

Big foamy off-white head very long lasting. Clear light amber, darker than a usual pale ale. Aroma is citrus hoppy and malty with some caramel. Hoppy bitter taste, citrus, grapefruit, some fruitiness (citrus, tropical) and malty. Bitter aftertaste. (Posted on 05/12/2016)

  10. Delicious
    Review by Chris

A very tasty beer with nice hoppiness, very easy to drink. (Posted on 30/11/2016)

  11. Outstanding
    Review by Will G.

The very best APA since it's essentially an IPA by any other name. At 6.5% abv, it does pack a little punch but it remains relatively 'sessionable' by craft beer standards. Very hoppy and bitter yet smooth and balanced. A definite go-to beer. (Posted on 30/10/2016)

  12. Good Pale Ale
    Review by JonB

This is a very good pale ale and would be great for a summer afternoon in the garden. (Posted on 17/09/2016)

  13. Great beer but £2.99 a can?
    Review by Dale

I've been to this brewery near Asheville and it's an awesome place, thouroughly recommend a visit - and the beer is about a buck a pint, not £9 a litre (Posted on 04/08/2016)

  14. Lovely
    Review by alanbullafc

I'm loving all of the Oskar Blues beers. Always something to look forward to. (Posted on 17/07/2016)

  15. Decent pale ale
    Review by ghbradshaw

A very good American Pale Ale, but not as exceptional as I'd expected given it's reputation - should have checked the date as I'm not sure how fresh it was. Still a very good beer though, I'll have to try it on keg some time to compare! (Posted on 06/07/2016)

  16. Never tried it before, loved it!
    Review by Chris F

Simple, refreshing, enjoyable pale ale. First time try, will be having again! (Posted on 18/06/2016)

  17. Delicious little tin
    Review by arejaypea

Packed with tart hops and a nice undercurrent of malt. Really nice, easy-drinking stuff. (Posted on 07/06/2016)

  18. Meh
    Review by Jacob

Its a good beer but not exceptional tbh. Easy drinking. (Posted on 26/04/2016)

  19. Move along, nothing to see here
    Review by Llamaman

I was pretty disappointed with this to be honest.
Nice enough, but the hops were bitter without adding much character and the malt failed to excite.
A 6.5% beer should be delivering a lot more than this - there's plenty of other beers on BH which surpass.
Would go down great at a BBQ or in your local, but for a beer to be enjoyed at home, it's just a bit dull. (Posted on 29/03/2016)

  20. Spot on
    Review by Ady Gray

Just bang on; exactly what you want from an IPA (Posted on 29/03/2016)

  21. Decent
    Review by Ole Alexander Saue

Easy to drink, but not as hoppy as expected (Posted on 29/03/2016)

Very good tasting APA! Well worth buying several and having at a bbq or party! (Posted on 20/03/2016)

  24. mmmmmm
    Review by Wilhelm

Pretty much the quintessential APA, perfect beer for chucking in an ice bucket and chilling as the sun goes down. (Posted on 17/03/2016)
