Product Reviews

  • Drinkable

    Review by LoneR113

Having sampled this a few times now, I find it quite drinkable but bland in comparison to others of the style. Shame, as other Odell products are top of the range. (Posted on 01/08/2015)

  • Disappointing

    Review by Andrew

I had heard a lot about this brewery but this beer was disappointing. Quite bitter but not a lot of flavour. Wouldn't buy again (Posted on 08/06/2015)

  • Average for the genre

    Review by Markiemark

A nice pale ale, nothing really special. Quite strong and at least not sickly sweet (Posted on 17/05/2015)

  • Light, refreshing. Lovely

    Review by wreck

Fruity, refreshing pale ale. Nothing extraordinary, but a really good solid beer. Perfect for a sunny afternoon in the garden. (Posted on 12/04/2015)

  • Middle of the road

    Review by RachB

It's a bit like Ronseal in that it does what it says on the bottle: American Pale Ale. It doesn't do anything spectacular but, then again, it does the job its supposed to do. I just wanted a bit more from it... (Posted on 12/03/2015)

  • Hoppy maibock style beer

    Review by Myrtle38

Perfect spring pale ale. Plenty of hops, light and floral. Not a session ale, but would be lovely enjoyed in a sunny garden in spring or summer. Reminds us of the maibock style beers brewed in Holland to celebrate spring and Easter. (Posted on 01/03/2015)

  • More like 1 Barrel

    Review by Jack Swans

The taste is nice, a bit sweet up front, hope a bit hidden. Develops with bready hints and glazed fruits. Better hop in the finish with a touch of citrus. Not outstanding let's say. (Posted on 23/01/2015)

  • Very distinctive. Amazing!

    Review by Brewdog1

light, crisp, hoppy (not overwhelming taste). floral nose. Have bought a case of this beer and a few more from the brewery. Highly recommended (Posted on 13/01/2015)

  • run of the mill American Pale

    Review by bammers1954

I'd read great things about this brewery, unfortunately this particular beer did not live up the their reputation. Well made but just lacks that something special to make it stand out from the crowd (Posted on 11/01/2015)

  • NIce pale

    Review by Lee

Some pale ales are a bit floral for me but this was crisp and nice and went down easy - hoppy and drinkable. (Posted on 08/01/2015)

  • A Disappointingly Pale Ale

    Review by Ay Pee Horne

Plety of hops in there, along with a good skelp of malt. Good balance to it. Just missing a bit of character. Wouldn't rush back for more. (Posted on 25/11/2014)
