Moor of everything in this imperial number. JJJ represents the three chaps that got together to brew this one, Justin of Moor, and pals James and Josh. A bold aroma with some marmalade citrus and tropical notes. Very smooth with strong citrus character, quite high bitterness with a pleasing dry finish. The malt presence takes us back to the classic British IPA style, not too hop-forward and well balanced. This is a dangerous one, far too quaffable for a 9%, so go steady!

This is a big beer but it's also fruity, complex and well balanced.

Superb imperial IPA. Popping the can released a waft of resiny hops and the aroma of marmalade. A strong malt backbone stops the US-influenced hop attack being overbearing. ABV isn't tasted, but certainly felt!

Huge resiny, perfumy, citrusy West Coast hop balanced out nicely with a sweet caramel malt base with hints of toffee. The alcohol (a lot!) is well hidden. Smooth drink with a nod to an 'Old Ale' style. JJJ is as good any West Coast hop bomb. Not surprising, the topman is from California. A first class beer!
