Maui Big Swell IPA

Maui Big Swell IPA

Country American Beers

Maui Brewing Company was founded on Maui island in Hawaii by Garrett Marrero, under the shadow of Puíu Kukui, a 1,764-metre summit, one of the wettest places on earth. And brewing arguably the best craft beer in paradise, Maui Brewing Company somehow makes Hawaii even more appealing. Their Big Swell IPA bursts with juicy tropical and citrus notes over a firm bitterness. So fresh, so clean, so chill. Close your eyes, you could be there.

Product Reviews
  1. Taste of Aloha
    Review by Chris

Crisp and refreshing IPA. Tastes even better when drank on Wailea Beach (Posted on 06/06/2017)

  2. Nice
    Review by Eamonn

Quite good. Bitter and dry. (Posted on 01/05/2017)

  3. Love It
    Review by alanbullafc

It must be the snow in Hawaii, this is great. (Posted on 01/05/2017)

  4. not a bad IPA, but better out there
    Review by mattyjp

orange color and a cloudy consistency, citrus and hoppy ovetones. pretty nice, no doubt a lot better drinking in the sun in Hawaii where it is made!
worth a try but better IPA's out there and at a cheaper price (Posted on 15/03/2017)

  5. Makes you think of summer
    Review by wgardner

So crisp and refreshing - this makes you think of hot sunny weather. A really good Ipa (Posted on 09/03/2017)

  6. Decent IPA
    Review by Ben

A very good IPA. Nothing incredible and did not blow me out the water. But still good quality and pleasant to drink. (Posted on 08/03/2017)

  7. Just swell...
    Review by AdyG

A hoppy IPA with a massive tropical swell. Citrus notes balance this fine IPA (Posted on 01/03/2017)

  8. Canned on 14 months ago...
    Review by Andrew

Very little fruit to it, slightly dank and just not particularly tasty... This surprised me until I turned it over and saw it was canned on 010516 (5th January 2016) - what on Earth is Beerhawk doing selling IPAs that were canned 14 months ago?? (Posted on 28/02/2017)

  9. Sure is swell
    Review by birky

Crisp IPA. Also loved their coconut porter. Good beer company (Posted on 12/12/2016)

  10. Lovely
    Review by alanbullafc

What a lovely fresh beer from Hawaii, want to have plenty more of this. (Posted on 07/12/2016)

  11. Unexpectedly good
    Review by Ultan

Was surprised by how hoppy this beer was. I thought it might be a bit light and fruity considering the hawaian connection but its more of an old school west coast IPA full of citrus with a dry finish. (Posted on 07/12/2016)

  12. Very refreshing...
    Review by Aloha!

Although not as good as sitting in LaHaina in Maui while supping this brew, it is a refreshing and clean IPA and well worth a punt. It's not as quaffable as Big Wave but as a 'garden' beer it has it's own 'tang' which grows on you. Wait for a special offer [as this is a bit pricey] and dig in! (Posted on 17/11/2016)

  13. Lovely ipa
    Review by Tinman

Great tasting beer love the can design can't wait to try more from this brewery (Posted on 02/11/2016)

  14. Nice can. Beer was faded
    Review by Bobby

Like to try this in the US (Posted on 26/10/2016)

  15. Solid IPA
    Review by Bruce

This does really have a crisp taste to it, the finish on it is very sharp and dry, almost like a lager. Tropical fruits are less pronounced than a typical AIPA (Posted on 26/10/2016)
