Kinnegar have a deep connection with their local roots and the sea. Named Limeburner for a local undersea pinnacle and a burning light which acted as guide and a warning to sailors in the area, this beer blends tradition and modern ideas well. It’s a lightly hopped Northern Pale Ale as they describe and the nose offers a pleasant whisper of herbs, toffee and an echo of citrus and pine. The taste a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness and there’s grass and toffee to be found, with citrus and pine echoing through as well. Much like its namesake, this beer will be a welcoming sight for those who’ve spent days toiling away at sea (or at work), with home shores looming and the promise of a well-earned tipple just past the next bay.
