Kees Bubberman, brewer-owner of Brouwerij Kees, doesn’t do things by halves, oh no. He goes big and bold with every beer he brews and his Citra Pils is no exception. Mashing up big American hops with a Pilsner is something that many brewers have been trying of late and it’s certainly a good combo. You get a light refreshing beer still bursting with hoppiness, something that Citra Pils has in spades. The aroma is tropical fruits and a light grassiness from the traditional end, to taste it’s got some sweet malts a little honey and a light, crisp bitterness, coupled with more tropical fruits. For those of us who crave hoppiness but still like a good crisp lager, this is the beer for you! It’s a Pilsner but not as you know it!
