The Herculometer is calibrated to 60°F (15.5°C).
Made of a durable polycarbonate plastic it’s virtually unshatterable (within reasonable limits, so let’s not push it!) The widest point at the bulb measures about .7” so most standard test jars will suit taking your readings.
We offer other Herculometers to zoom-in on different gravities:
0.980 to 1.020 Precision Hydrometer, ideal for checking finishing gravities (FG)
1.000 to 1.070 Precision Hydrometer, for checking original gravity of beers of normal to moderate strength
1.060 to 1.130 Precision Hydrometer, for checking original gravity of big, strong beers
Made of extremely durable polycarbonate plastic, the Herculometer™ hydrometer will survive the strongest/clumsiest of homebrewing men and women. With a specific gravity (SG) range of 0.982 to 1.160 and a triple scale format, you’ll be able to measure for beer, wine and even meads.
