  • Sofie i love you

    Review by justin

One of Goose Islands sour sisters barrel aged beer, and possibly the best.

At first this has a great fruity soured taste followed by a deep barrell aged after taste that will leave you want more. (Posted on 21/03/2018)

  • Can’t pass this by

    Review by barry

I regularly got 750ml bottles of this in Canada but the smaller bottle will have to do now :( except it’s still amazing! (Posted on 05/03/2018)

Thin white head, disappears straight away

Medium crisp, dry mouthfeel with some carbonation
Apple, yeasty, lemon and peppery flavour
Slightly sweet, dry, aftertaste, slightly lingering, little carbonation (Posted on 21/02/2018)

  • Not Goose's Best

    Review by Hayley

Didn't enjoy this as much as some of the other beers from Goose Island, but not too bad nonetheless (Posted on 14/01/2018)

  • A sharp tasting beer

    Review by Swand

A sharp tasting Saison style beer with a citrus tang behind the classic Belgian taste. (Posted on 13/01/2018)

A complex Saison with notes of citrus. Mouthfeel of a typical Belgian saison with a slight peppery finish! (Posted on 29/12/2017)

  • Very nice!

    Review by Hakan

Perfect beer to start the evening with. It's lovely, very smooth, could maybe be a bit more complex, but all in all a very good and enjoyable beer! (Posted on 21/11/2017)

  • My Favourite from Goose Island

    Review by Carl

This is a really nice beer. I've had it a few times and it is definitely the nicest from the Goose Island selection pack. Not the usual thing I go for I must say. Champagne colour, light citrus & vanilla flavour, sparkling body. (Posted on 15/11/2017)

    Review by Nick

Hazy pale yellow in colour, slightly carbonated with little to no head

Tarty, citrus, sour apples almost cider like. Light and refreshing. (Posted on 20/08/2017)

  • A really good saison

    Review by Mr T

Slightly hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma is slightly flowery and earthy, typical for Belgian Saisons. Taste is similar. Pleasant and refreshing. Good stuff. (Posted on 17/08/2017)

  • Surprisingly good

    Review by Trott

Pours a hazy gold, peach tint, white head. Aroma of that great Belgian yeast (cloves, bubblegum, banana), fruity and floral, dry wine-like, light bread, hops end. Very good Saison. (Posted on 03/07/2017)

  • Grew on me

    Review by 0000

At first I was not keen at all, but after about half the bottle I started to enjoy it. Would drink again. (Posted on 18/06/2017)

  • Really good saison

    Review by Beeeeer

Aroma is tart and funky. Hay, wet grass. It pours a slightly murky light orange body with little head. Taste is funky with notes of yeast. Again, hay and a little tartness. Watery body with medium carbonation (Posted on 15/06/2017)

  • Love it

    Review by MARTYN

Pours translucent golden with a bubbly white head. Scent is light spices as well as citrus. Taste has the Belgian spiciness with some sweet citrus. Mouthfeel is effervescent, similar to champagne. Quality unique beer. (Posted on 28/05/2017)

  • A winner

  • Great beer

    Review by Beebo

A straw coloured pour with a fast fading white head, and high carbonation; aroma of damp straw cut through with white grape juice; soft and creamy in the mouth with a tart fruity taste; and an interesting finish with coriander and white pepper providing warmth. The initial impression is that this is very sour, but the sharp edge wears off leaving a very pleasant beer. (Posted on 26/04/2017)

  • Great introduction to the world of tarts.

    Review by Voyage34

This beer has a beautiful subtle sourness that is just sooooooo refreshing. This beer is not too complex and holds a great depth of flavour with lovely citrus notes. I love it. Well done Goose Island. (Posted on 25/04/2017)

  • Keeping the standard up

    Review by Ninja Terrier

The boys at Goose Island have delivered another winner with this offering. (Posted on 19/03/2017)

  • Golden Goose

    Review by Good Head

Golden straw in colour with a diminishing frothy head. Has a really good sourness to it and a wheaty taste. Has a good blend of flavours to make a good belgian style beer. (Posted on 14/03/2017)

  • Very good

    Review by Snozz

Aroma is pale malt, slightly funky yeast, tart dried fruits, orange, citrus peel, floral, peppery and soft herbal notes, mild bretty, touch of wood and creamy vanilla. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and fairly tart with a dry finish. Body is medium. Has all the qualities and complexity of a fine Saison. (Posted on 09/03/2017)

  • Pleasantly surprised

    Review by Slycockney

I'm not a great fan of sour beers and when I popped the cap on the bottle and the quite sour aroma hit the nose I feared the worst.
How wrong could I be? It has a slight but not overpowering sourness owing to citrus content but is packed full of flavour and is extremely refreshing with just enough fizz.
I will definitely be ordering some more! (Posted on 03/03/2017)

  • Thumbs up

    Review by Dave

Wasn't sure what to expect but it was a nice refreshing, tasty beer (Posted on 16/02/2017)

  • Tasty tipple

    Review by dazzler

One of my favourites this one, excellent brewery, crisp taste with an almost lemon zest kick, smooth finish, only downside is to how many I will be able to cram in my fridge (Posted on 10/02/2017)

  • Nice wee beer

    Review by Woody

Very refreshing and a slight sour taste and smell. Cracking beer though (Posted on 04/02/2017)

  • Quite refreshing

    Review by wgardner

Nice and refreshing, almost cider like. It's nice, but I would rather drink this in the summer than autumn, (Posted on 03/02/2017)

  • Nice drop....

    Review by MH

Clear Golden/orangish color with a decent head retention. A lot of effervescence inside the liquid. It smells like barnyard, tart wheat, orange. Sparkling bubbles on the tongue, light to medium acidity, pretty dry, the bretts ate every sugars they could, light bitterness, lemon. Very good farmhouse saison, not too much barnyard and leather side it’s more subtle. (Posted on 02/02/2017)

  • Below par

    Review by Blind_Drunk

I cant say this is awful or anything but it just isn't really for me, (Posted on 28/01/2017)

  • Lovely

    Review by MH

Hazy pale yellow colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, tart apples, malt and spices. The flavour is fruity, slightly sweet, with citrus, spices and notes of white wine. Very tasty. (Posted on 26/01/2017)

  • Nice saison

    Review by christof

Got this in a mystery case, goo result, pleasant peppery flavour, would buy this again (Posted on 06/01/2017)

  • Better than average

    Review by AdyG

This is quite a bit better than the standard fare from Goose Island. I'd been finding their beers in danger of becoming mainstream like a Hoibgoblin or Spitfire. This is great with a good mouthfeel as a saison does and plenty of flavour (Posted on 26/12/2016)

  • Delightful

    Review by A - RdG

Definitely for the ones who like white beer. Great acidity and flavour profile. (Posted on 22/12/2016)
