Goose Island were one of the early titans of the American craft scene and they have churned out great beer after great beer. Midway is Goose’s offering for those who love big American IPAs but perhaps want to dial down the ABV a bit. It packs all the flavour into a lower ABV format commendably. It’s got the big pine and resin licks and a solid biscuit base that will have you coming back for more at the beginning, Midway through and at the end of a good ol’ session.
Great breweries start with a clear vision. Founder John Hall’s was to bring the best of European beer styles to Chicago. Since its modest beginnings in a brewpub in 1988, Goose Island went on to make some of America’s greatest beer, including Goose IPA that won medals not just once, but six times at the Great American Beer Festival.
