In creating the Sweet Porter recipe kit, Northern Brewer's brewmasters worked with Goose Island's R&D brewer Tim Faith to recreate their special seasonal beer 'A Real Nice Surprise', boasting notes of milk chocolate, nutmeg and a big, toasty malt backbone. It also conveys the complex flavors of barrel aging that have become a Goose Island trademark... without the need for barrel ageing.
A thermometer is an indispensable tool when brewing. If you don't already have one at home, you can add a glass or digital thermometer to your order.
