Brewery Info

Fyne Ales was founded in 2001 by Jonny and Tuggy Delap after forced early retirement had them moving back to Tuggy's ancestral home and lands. Their aim was always to find a new purpose for the estate to create jobs, tourism and industry for Argyll. The idea of a brewery was mooted and sold, and so, 10BBL brew kit was installed in one of the old cattle sheds.

Fyne Ales started out as a traditional ale outfit, and they rapidly garnered local recognition. With the advent of the craft beer revolution, they started to branch out into craftier offerings starting with the American hopped Jarl. They moved into Belgian and American inspired farmhouse creations with their origins project, which sees them experimenting with mixed fermentation, barrel aging, locally sourced seasonal ingredients and weird and wonderful recipes.

Whatever you choose you can be sure it'll be a Fyne Ale!

Unfortunately despite the hyperbole on the bottle this beer was not great.

Dark and slightly spicy taste. Slightly sweet but not too nice tasting. Quite smooth.

A beer for those that like their beer with a subtle spicy flavour. This has some good fruity aromas and a nice chilli hit with good body.
