Flying Dog Pale Ale

Flying Dog Pale Ale

The Flying Dog Pale Ale is a great example of the American Pale Ale style. Nicely balanced and very drinkable, this pale ale keeps the hop-heads happy while pleasing those who are just looking for a pleasant drink.

A good dose of Cascade hops give off those fantastic Pacific Northwest notes: lemon, orange, and sweet grapes. A nutty and caramel maltiness is contrasted by a grassy hop-bitterness that lingers just long enough. This sparkling amber-coloured American pale ale is a well-made and highly enjoyable beer.

  1. Nice beer Review by Dead Derek
    Rating

This is a good quality beer, not too strong or hoppy, just pleasant to drink! Slightly preferred the same brewer's canned beers, but they seem to be mainly IPAs, so this is a really good alternative to those. (Posted on 26/03/2017)

  2. Drinkable Review by Rich

I wanted something a little lighter than the IPAs I've been drinking recently and this pretty much fit the bill.

A little bolder than I had actually expected but very drinkable and something I'd happily buy again (Posted on 06/10/2016)

Not one of Flying Dog's best efforts. That said, if you're looking for a refreshing, sessionable pale ale then this is probably going to do the job. It's just that it doesn't really stand out at all. A bit bland. (Posted on 11/06/2015)
