Dingemans are a Belgian maltster that supplies the grains for many of Belgium's classic beers. Special B is a type of caramel/crystal malt that has undergone a unique double drying process, resulting in a heavy caramel and dark fruit taste. Use up to 10% in Abbey and Trappist-style beers, as well as stouts and dark ales. Special B can be a good substitute for chocolate and black malt when bitterness is not desired.
