This is a fantastic blend of beer and champagne. Was surprised at how well the flavours fitted together. Light, refreshing, very interesting to drink (Posted on 20/11/2017)

  • Special Occasion

    Review by David

This was bought as a present and was an enjoyable tipple. The sense of occasion opening a champagne sized, champagne style bottle is well worth the purchase. Definitely a sharing beer (for me at least) strong, Belgian triple style with a champagne twist - I couldn't drink a whole bottle to myself! (Posted on 10/09/2017)

  • High Quality High Gravity!

    Review by Alexander

It takes a degree of skill to get a beers ABV high without making it syrupy or cloyingly sweet. However they have succeeded here. Presumably the Champagne Yeast helps dry the beer out and give it very tight carbonation (forgive my theft and hatchet job on stealing a phrase from the Wine World). As beers go this is pretty expensive, but once you taste it you'll know why. Being 750ml @ 11+% its price doesn't represent bad value. Treat it like a wine, don't just throw it down your neck so you can rush online and give it a scathing review: Spend a couple of hours appreciating it. Does it pair with food? Yes.. I've not met a beer that doesn't. However it pairs with a Lazy Boy much better. Maybe some Charles Mingus too. (Posted on 13/01/2017)
