Vuur & Vlam (Fire & Flames) is an IPA with a difference and a real wow factor. It has all the usual characteristics: hoppy, strong, fresh. But this one has a soft subtlety that makes it so more refined than a simple hop bomb. The caramels run through everything linking the whole experience together to make it the second de Molen in Beer Hawk's top 10 beers in the world.

  1. BOOM! Get some :)
    Review by Ben

Amazing beer this one. Proper IPA, hoppy, bitter, reasonable price for the quality! (Posted on 20/06/2017)

  2. 4.5 beer
    Review by TonyL

Fab beer - IPA without the bitter finish. Almost a malt finish. (Posted on 18/06/2017)

  3. Dutch Courage
    Review by Leedj1

Nice fruity aroma, hoppy but subtle, will order again. (Posted on 05/06/2017)

  4. Nice and hoppy
    Review by BillyB

Certainly tastes like IPA to me and very nice too. Plenty of hops, good maltiness and bitter enough too. (Posted on 16/05/2017)

  5. Beautiful double IPA
    Review by energizedwork

Silky smooth without being too hop forward (Posted on 01/04/2017)

  6. Genuinely lovely.
    Review by JP

It's a refreshingly good beer. It's great IPA, just as advertised, genuinely worth a try. No wonder all the good reviews keep on coming, it deserves it. (Posted on 19/03/2017)

  7. Fruity
    Review by Ninja Terrier

De Molen have done it again. Heavily hopped with a fruity after taste. A most excellent brew. (Posted on 19/03/2017)

  8. Unbelievable
    Review by JLTB

Simply an amazing IPA. Has enough malts to balance the hops. Caramel flavours, very smooth. Delicious. (Posted on 21/02/2017)

  9. Embarassing for the competition
    Review by Bumblebee

So good it almost makes you want to cry: if de Molen can produce a world-class IPA like this at such a reasonable price, where are there so many mediocre over-priced IPAs out there? There's no justice. (Posted on 11/02/2017)

  10. Nutty taste
    Review by dazzler

Slightly darker drink than I expected, smooth though for drinking, nutty finish , nice to try (Posted on 08/02/2017)

  11. Excellent beer
    Review by BeerHead

De Molen beers are always of great quality, this is no exception. Great hop aromas and nice rounded taste (Posted on 02/02/2017)

  12. My Favourite De Molen yet
    Review by JohnH

De Molen make a broad range of different beers and of the half dozen or so I've tried so far this is my favourite by quite a bit. As others have mentioned it has a bit more colour and malt than many IPAs which it excellently combines with some awesome hops (Posted on 13/01/2017)

  13. Wow
    Review by Essex Boy

Didn't think I would like this (bought as a present for my son) but after one sip I wanted more! I did pick up on the caramel taste which I was surprised about. Good beer, definitely recommend it (Posted on 09/01/2017)

  14. Absolutely superb
    Review by Llamaman

No gimmicks, no weird flavours, just a totally belting IPA. (Posted on 07/10/2016)

  15. caramalty
    Review by the crobar

great flavour , caramel sweetness and citrus tones another great De Molen IPA (Posted on 15/07/2016)

  16. Great IPA
    Review by Aperelated

This is a lovely beer. Like a lot of De Molen beers there's quite a sweet caramelly malt underpinning the beer but this doesn't get in the way of the substantial fruity and floral hop hit and massive bitterness. (Posted on 13/07/2016)

  17. Bargain
    Review by Llamaman

De Molen do it again. A great IPA at a keen price.
A bit darker than many IPAs, and it's those caramel flavours that elevate it above the usual hopfest. (Posted on 25/05/2016)

  18. new favourite
    Review by D

Lovely, hoppy, fruity, very very tasty and easy drinking favourite of the bunch (Posted on 23/05/2016)

  19. Another cracker from De Molen
    Review by Fyfie

Nice pine to it with slight citrus. It is bitter and dry but surprisingly not as bitter as you would expect from the strong hop flavour. I would give this 3.75 stars. (Posted on 21/05/2016)

  20. new favourite

Lovely, hoppy, fruity, very very tasty and easy drinking (Posted on 19/05/2016)

  21. An interesting beer
    Review by Jo

Citrus aroma, hazy copper colour, citrus flavour and very hoppy with a lingering bitter aftertaste, will be trying more from De Molen in the future. (Posted on 13/05/2016)

  22. Top Marks
    Review by Faris

This is a great beer. Well balanced, with a nice hoppy finish. Will be ordering more of this when I finish off my last order. (Posted on 11/05/2016)

  23. Absoloutely gorgeous
    Review by SteveP

Wow that aroma is amazing! The full on hop flavour is amazing with some seriously aggressive hopping. But for all the hopping the bitterness isn't massive - indeed it could almost be described as bittersweet. I absolutely loved it. (Posted on 10/03/2016)

  24. Surprisingly nice
    Review by Jim Jimmeney

Not sure what I was expecting but it wasn\'t this much better than the average IPA and a flavour sensation. (Posted on 25/12/2015)

  25. Amazing
    Review by Alan

I was not expecting this beer to be that good, honestly! For that price, it is truly amazing. Very intense but easy drinking one. (Posted on 01/11/2015)

  26. Outstanding
    Review by Mr Egg White

    Top marks! (Posted on 24/09/2015)

  27. Intense
    Review by Geofff

A bit much for me, I must be honest ... the high alcohol content obliterated some subtleties of the flavour, but horses for courses no doubt (Posted on 16/09/2015)

  28. Very good indeed...
    Review by Ady Gray

I\'m rapidly becoming a fan of this brewery. This is a fine example of their craft (Posted on 07/09/2015)

  29. Believe the Hype
    Review by Med

this is a great beer from a great brewery. fresh and hoppy tasting as well as great price - better than most of its competitors which cost twice as much or more (Posted on 05/09/2015)

  30. Amazing value for money!
    Review by Mr Egg White

Probably the best IPA I have ever had for under £3. I loved the somewhat fruity taste of this delicious brew from one of the worlds greats brewery's. I think I almost got a hint of over ripe strawberry's from it its that fruity. The beer still carries the soul of a solid IPA though. Its truly amazing value for money! (Posted on 20/08/2015)

  31. Hoppy like a rabbit!
    Review by MJP

Belgian style ale with a lot of hops, not your standard American IPA but a lovely beer nonetheless. Very light easy drinker with tropical fruit notes. not as complex as an american IPA but will be buying a few more of these again soon (Posted on 11/07/2015)

  32. tasty
    Review by molen mill regular

Balanced, summer drink.. Hits the spot with a fresh tasty aroma.
Not too hoppy for me as drinkable with delight.
I will buy again as its special. Very clever meno- well created. (Posted on 30/05/2015)

  33. Delicious!
    Review by wreck

Pours clear copper with a white head. Really well balanced beer. Just the right hoppy, bitter, fruity aromas and taste. Very drinkable. Puts a smile on my face. This is what an IPA should taste like. (Posted on 30/03/2015)

  34. Do they make bad ale?
    Review by Dr Bob

Yet another cracking offering from my favourite Dutch brewery. Massive hop flavour and easy evening beer. Brill. (Posted on 21/02/2015)

  35. Simply Magestic
    Review by Ay Pee Horne

A heavily hopped dream of a beer. So pungent, yet so refreshing. Another world class beer from the boys in the windmill. (Posted on 05/02/2015)

  36. Stunning again from De Molen
    Review by Hop me

Love this stuff. Has the most unique fruit flavour and great hop nose and taste. I keep going back to this brewery as they are so good at what they do (Posted on 27/01/2015)

  37. Aggressively Hopped
    Review by Bill Hard

The hop flavour in this beer is immense. Delightful on the palate - fruity and dry. Similar to an American IPA. Savour and enjoy the aggressive hopping. (Posted on 29/12/2014)

  38. Delicious
    Review by Will Claringbold

Not disappointed with this beer one bit. Delivers on the claims made in the beer description and then some. Will definitely be ordering some more of this. (Posted on 09/09/2014)
