A blend of one, two and three year old lambics. Barnyard aroma, bone-dry with modest carbonation and sharp sour finish. The champagne of Belgium.

The crowning glory of the world of gueuze, Cantillon Gueuze is the Champagne of Belgium. A final maturation process that lasts for more than a year leaves behind beautiful aromas and flavours of sour lemon citrus, florals, earth and oak that only improve with time—up to 20 years if you can wait that long!

Intensely acidic and decidedly dry, this medium-bodied and refreshing gueuze doesn’t pull any punches. For fans of sour beers, it doesn’t get any better. For the yet-to-be-converted? Enjoy the ride!

Pours a clear golden with an off-white, quickly disappearing head. The aroma is medium yeasty, leather, cheese, sour apples, lightly musty. Light to medium body with a medium carbonation, a medium sourness and a light bitterness. The flavor is full of fruity acidity, lemon, kiwi, unripe plums followed by tart berries and some cellary impressions, light peppery in the finish. Rather complex taste. Ends with a dry astringent finish.

Semi-hazy orange pour with a thin white head with poor retention and visible carbonation rising to the top. Notes of lambic funk, barnyard, hay, apple cider, macerated apples, pears, light vinegar, baking soda, white grapes, some hop-like bitterness. Medium bitter and medium sour. A really refreshing gueuze.
