Rodenbach brewery is most famous for its barrel-aged Flemish Red-style sour beers - highly recommended for any sour beer fans. It was founded way back in 1821 by the four Rodenbach brothers, but it wasn’t until the third generation that Eugene Rodenbach started to ripen beer in oak barrels and mix old and young beers, producing the brews they became so famous for.
The brewery produces three beers: Rodenbach original, blended from old and young ales; Rodenbach Grand Cru which is richer and contains less younger ale, and Vin de Céréale, an aged beer of 10% ABV.
