A refractometer will instantly read the gravity of your wort, in either Brix or SG. Just apply a couple of drops onto the prism, close the cover and look through the eyepiece while aiming your refractometer at a light source. It's useful in all-grain brewing so you know when to stop sparging (usually 2-3 Brix), or to take readings before and during the boil so you know you’re hitting gravity targets.
This refractometer measures from 0 to 32° Brix, with an accuracy of +/- 0.2° Brix. It also features an automatic temperature compensation for temperatures between 10-30°C.
The refractometer comes with a screwdriver for calibration, a microfiber cloth for cleaning the prism surface, a pipette and instructions.
This Refractometer only needs a few drops of liquid at any temperature for an accurate gravity reading in either Brix or Standard Gravity.
