The Bad Boys of British Brewing, claiming to be the cure to the illness that is mass produced beer. They brew with no constraints and are constantly innovating to release amazing beer to the UK from their brewery in Scotland.

We’ll spare you the riotous/punk/apocalyptic/hide-your-kids Punk IPA description from Brewdog and instead we’ll just tell you how great this beer is. If you’re a hop-head, this one is for you; it’s made with six different hops and is an incendiary assault on your palate! Oops. Promised we wouldn’t do that.

The flavours and aromas of this IPA are dominated by notes of lychee, tropical fruits, pineapple, and caramel malts. The bitterness is somewhat muted but an assertively dry finish provides the crisp balance needed. Dripping with sweet fruit flavours, this full-flavoured medium-bodied beer is a modern homage to the classic IPA.

Literally, the perfect ale. Are there better IPA's out there? The odd one, Yes, but from a consistency point of view, this is the king. Even the 'lager louts' who would never drink a craft ale/bitter/stout etc, love this beer. It's (pretty much) liquid perfection ????

Punk IPA is the best IPA I've ever tasted. Highly recommended. When I first heard about it I wasn't interested but then I bought a bottle. It blew me away! And now I'm addicted. It's hoppy like a real ale then a bitter taste then a sweetness then lastly a massive hit of Lychee's . At first you think Mmmm! Not bad! But then the fresh fruit kicks in and then you go... Oh wow what's that!! After one bottle I wanted to try all breeding beers. Elvis juice is also a really good one.

It's a lovely IPA, and is always a good go-to as it's pretty much ubiquitous nowadays. Has a trademark Brewdog IPA taste which is hard to nail down, but if you like that then it's got everything you could want from an IPA really!

One of the beers that opened my mind to craft ales but it doesn't seem to have fully survived Brewdogs runaway success intact. Yes its still a nice smashable hoppy beer but it seems to have been toned down a bit for the mass market or perhaps has just suffered from the larger scale production. Seems a bit thin nowadays and the flavour tends to wash away quite quickly. That said still better than 95% of the stuff in the supermarket

This was a shock to me the first time! Critics might say between a beer and lager...but its great.
I'd say a verry hoppy sparly real ale with incredible taste - divides the drinkers like marmite - only love or hate!

It's hard to diss this beer as it has legendary status, it's the beer that took so many people into craft beer. However, it's changed over the years, whether our taste buds have matured or if they're using less hops? Who knows? Still a decent beer though.

I love this beer! I was especially happy to find it in a recent BeerHawk Mystery Case. When the beer comes in at £1.67 a bottle and is part of a great big variety box you really can't go wrong. And when you used your acquired beer tokens to get it for free ......... Happy Days!

Consistently very good IPA. Others have mentioned there are better out there and BrewDog do produce finer than this, their flagship beer - all true. However, it's national, and now international accessibility reveals it's consistency and the fact that it's the best widely available IPA out there. Why anyone would buy it for £2.49 a bottle on here when its only £1.80 in almost every supermarket or if you're open to a 4 pack then £1.50 a unit. Do the maths people - great IPA, just use your money more wisely...

For a commercial beer that is pretty much available everywhere in the UK, this is up there with the best. Enough body and hoppyness to enjoy as an everyday beer. Not sure why the BeerHawk price is so high considering the general availability however.

This is one of my favourite IPA's. This a good bitter IPA, but not too bitter to just enjoy as a refreshing "not too taxing" beer on a hot day. Everyone that I've given this beer to really enjoy it. Brewdog are an excellent producer always looking to be different, innovative and trying new recipes. I would highly recommend this beer.

I really enjoyed this beer, and much better than the Brewdog Dead Pony Pale Ale. It's super tasty, easy to drink, and well balanced. The only reason for dropping the rating by a star is that I can get it cheaper in a supermarket.

I was introduced to this in the summer and boy did it change the way I thought about beer. It does have some overtones of Hoegaarden in there, but is far more tasty. Remember this is a Pale Ale and my father in law, a lager drinker, did not like it what so ever. I have also heard the term 'flowery' to describe it, but I think that is far too simplistic. Enough of the waffle, order, drink and enjoy. Top service from Beer Hawk as well.

It's not the most exciting or interesting beer on offer here but it's a great tasting reliably enjoyable beer. Brewdog have got many things right. I personally prefer the jackhammer as it packs more punch. If looking for a session then dead pony has more flavour than this in my opinion

I always have a few of these in just in case I've not enjoyed some of my newer choices. It is a dependable beer and always satisfies. Good hop aromas (piney and fruity) and a good bitter bit bite. No sediment to contend with so I've had no gushers to date.

If I could only drink one beer this would be it.
Its not too strong so a few can be enjoyed, and it packs a real punch in Hop flavour with passion fruit, grapefruit and citrus zipping through. Not too bitter but enough to compensate the biscuit background from the Hops.

... compared to the supermarket beer that I have quaffed up until now. I'm new to this "craft" beer and Punk IPA has made a good first impression. In fact it is not really "quaffable" but more drinkable at a leisurely pace. I didn't know that beer could have such a rich and complex taste. A couple of bottles of this may well replace my usual bottle of red on a Friday night

The Scottish have done it. They have created a drink that rivals many established beers as something new and different. Personally I can't get enough of the stuff and the fact that it's popping up for sale in my local and not so local watering holes make me even the merrier.

I support the ethos of Brew Dog to shake up the brewing industry with some new thinking, but sometimes that thinking goes a little awry (I guess that's to be expected with all that strong beer around). However, Punk IPA is a great brew - their best, in my view - it has strength, but not silly strength, it's nicely hopped and has a great complexity of taste for a fairly simple beer. It holds that taste when chilled, so can be used straight from the fridge as a refreshing drink on a warm day.

No matter what else I try, I always seem to come back to punk ipa. It's become my go-to beer, really. Yes, there are others perhaps more exciting or unusual, but Punk IPA is a staple for me. Whatever other bottled peculiarities I have in my fridge, there's usually a few of these for those more everyday drinking situations; the refreshing one after work, or the football on the sofa. That being said, don't underestimate just how delicious it is.
