Product Reviews

  • One of my favourite stouts

    Review by Stuart

I'm a big fan of stouts and this is one of my absolute favourites. I prefer ones with a tiny bit of sweetness and this has that. I've found it can vary a bit between bottles but it's always at least very good. (Posted on 09/07/2017)

  • One of the few Brewdog beers I really like

    Review by Jo

Black colour, coffee aroma, medium to thick mouthfeel, strong coffee, dark chocolate, milky and malty flavour, smoky aftertaste. (Posted on 22/06/2017)

  • Smooth and tasty

    Review by JM95

Goes down easy, not too hoppy or bitter. Full and fairly sweet. Nothing to go crazy over but you could do worse! (Posted on 17/06/2017)

  • Very good

    Review by Simon

I put in a large mixed order for me and friends for the Ryder cup weekend and this was one of the beers I chose. The thing that stood out for me was the chocolate flavour, as well as the usual malty, creaminess you get from a milk stout. My daughter is partial to a glass of this so this type of beer can appeal to the younger generation. (Posted on 31/05/2017)

  • Nice drop....

    Review by Mart

Dark brown color with beige head. Roasted malt and coffee aroma. Sweet, coffee and chocolate taste. Low carbonation. A bit bitter finish. (Posted on 09/05/2017)

  • Good milk stout

    Review by ALB

Lovely milk stout, smooth and sweet with a rounded, medium bodied finish. Good for a warm spring day served chilled. (Posted on 27/04/2017)

  • Not much point to it.

    Review by Voyage34

If you want a hop hit with your stout there are better out there e.g. Pot Kettle Black. Not that I would turn down a bottle. It just needs the dark roast to come through a bit more to separate it from the IPA's brewed by Brewdog. (Posted on 26/04/2017)

  • Lovely milk stout

    Review by Beebo

pours a very dark brown with a rich tan head. The smell is dark roasted malt, dark fruit, molasses. The taste is dark fruit, molasses, dark roasted malt, some sweetness but goes dry and roasty on the end. Medium body with average carbonation. (Posted on 22/03/2017)

  • decent sweet stout

    Review by christof

This was perfectly ok but held up against other milk stouts it lacks any stand out points. Decent texture, very dark, not overly rich. (Posted on 05/01/2017)

  • Sweet stout

    Review by MH

Almost black body, small tan head. Promising sweet aroma of pralines, chocolate bonbons, nuts, cocoa powder. Taste is roasty bitter, sweet. Chocolate, roasted malts, gently lactic tones, rum. Light body, soft carbonation, very well attenuated.
    Smooth and pleasat.

  • A really nice stout

    Review by Jo

Black colour, very still, off-white head, coffee aroma, medium to thick mouthfeel, sweet and slightly sour milky tang, strong coffee, chocolate and malty flavour, smoky aftertaste with little carbonation, excellent surprise. (Posted on 01/11/2016)

  • Solid BrewDog beer

    Review by DH

Not much head and quite dry with a real 'roasty' malty taste. Can take or leave a lot of BrewDog beers but this one's well worth trying. (Posted on 23/09/2016)

  • BrewDog?

    Review by Ninja Terrier

I had to look at the label to remind myself that this is a BrewDog product. It has ample amounts of flavours but just lacks the edge one normally associates with Brewdog brews. (Posted on 20/09/2016)

  • Velvety milk stout

    Review by Mik

This is the beer that brought me into milk stouts. Its texture is the nicest i've ever tried and full of flavour. (Posted on 16/08/2016)

  • Brewdog in non-hopbomb shocker!

    Review by Llamaman

A slightly different stout. It has a slight sweetness and a slight sour tang that balances against the richer notes of chocolate. Not as rich as some stouts, but smooth and drinkable.
Most remarkable is that this is a Brewdog beer that isn't hopped to the nines. (Posted on 08/07/2016)

  • Decent, solid stout

    Review by Harry

Nothing incredibly but still a very good stout. Sessionable. (Posted on 22/06/2016)

  • Decent, Solid

    Review by Harry

Im no expert but this was pretty enjoyable as a stout. I wouldnt say its incredible but nothing wrong with it. (Posted on 22/06/2016)

  • Heavy weight

    Review by Good head

Very full in flavour and mouthfeel. Has a very silky feel and taste. It has a fast vanishing headand is incredibly dark in colour. A roasted taste and smell. A really tasty beer. (Posted on 20/06/2016)

  • Balanced, fruity and syrupy

    Review by Westy

Light carbonation gives it a lovely dynamic, almost stout like sweet syrupyness balanced by the hops. Top beer (Posted on 07/06/2016)

  • Good dark ale

    Review by Dan

Lovely dark ale and enjoyed this - nothing 'special' though (Posted on 02/06/2016)

  • Matly & Sweet

    Review by Ian

This was particularly easy to drink, carried a malty sweet taste which I really liked (Posted on 02/06/2016)

  • Chocolate and Coffee

    Review by KRJJ

Great dessert beer. Malt aromas with chocolate and coffee taste. (Posted on 25/05/2016)

  • Not bad.

    Review by Johnny

Poor head. Aroma of roasted malts, sunflower seeds, milk. Roast taste. A little bit of milk. Some sourness. Very dry. Nice high leveled bitterness. Medium to low carbonation. Very good stout. (Posted on 02/05/2016)

  • Stoutish

    Review by Potterpint

Middle of the road dark number. Nothing outstanding. (Posted on 20/04/2016)

  • Decent

    Review by Blind_Drunk

A good solid beer from Brewdog. It isn't one of their best but it was very easy going down and enjoyable. (Posted on 13/04/2016)
