BrewDog Elvis Juice

BrewDog Elvis Juice

£2.39
Style IPA
Country British Beers
ABV 6.5%
Serving Temp 6 to 8 °C
Bottle Size 330ml
Brewdog's entry into the ongoing grapefruit beer battle, Elvis Juice is infused with loads of tart grapefruit peel. This American-style IPA has intense aromas of, well, grapefruit alongside huge American hop notes of pine, resin and citrus. Chewy caramel malts support the fruit-juice flavours on the palate and its long bitter finish will never die. Elvis Juice is a legend.

  • Nice Beer

    Review by MrDeek

It's a good beer but not one I could drink too often. Not 100% sold on the grapefruit element. (Posted on 26/07/2017)

  • Juicy

    Review by Jj

LOve the stuff goes well when alternating with Jack Hammer (Posted on 28/06/2017)

  • Nice Balance

    Review by tt

The grapefruit is quite distinct, but the caramel base notes balance the citrus very nicely. (Posted on 18/06/2017)

  • Amazing nectar

    Review by Pjherts

This stuff is amazing! I'm not usually a fan of grapefruit (or any fruit) flavour beer but this is dry and hoppy and delicious! (Posted on 14/06/2017)

  • Tasty stuff

    Review by Kit

I'm not a big fan of grapefruit beer but this stuff is great! The abc packs a punch too without tasting like it. (Posted on 16/05/2017)

  • Loved it

    Review by Alex

Didn't want to like this as seems sacrilegious to mix grapefruit in with beer but oh my this is simply delightful- almost too drinkable; before you know it the cans finished! (Posted on 12/05/2017)

  • Good, but not as good as others

    Review by Jim

Nice sour tasting beer, but not as good as Punk IPA and other BrewDog beers. (Posted on 24/04/2017)

  • Touch of sour IPA

    Review by energizedwork

Not as heavy sour as the Siren Pompelmocello but a good place to start for flavoured IPAs (Posted on 01/04/2017)

  • Fruity IPA

    Review by Nilly

Very fruity and bitter IPA. Lovely taste and a sipper. (Posted on 09/02/2017)

  • Brewdog wins!

    Review by funkygibbon

Good fruit/zesty IPA. Strong but easy drinker (Posted on 09/02/2017)

  • Solid!

    Review by CeleryGeneral

The fruit comes through well. More bitter zest than juice. A more defined fruit flavour than say Bloody Ell. A decent pale ale behind the fruit. (Posted on 09/02/2017)

  • Another great Brewdog beer

    Review by Gee

I was sceptical. Why would you put grapefruit in a perfectly good IPA? 'Cos it works, that's why. At 6.5% you could hardly call it an "all day sucker" but by golly it goes down easy. Great aroma, taste and aftertaste. Breeding can't seem to put a foot wrong (ignoring 'This is Lager'). (Posted on 05/02/2017)

  • Zingy

    Review by Frickley

Another Citrus from Brew Dog, sharp and tangy Grapefruit flavour comes through. I like it. Certainly not returning this to sender! (Posted on 03/02/2017)

    Review by Nickyr

Brewdog have some great beers but this one is the best packed with a real burst of grapefruit very sharp and tasty a most to try (Posted on 11/01/2017)

  • Good ipa, with a twist.

  • What can i say

    Review by Hoopyem

This is my favourite Brewdog by far unique (Posted on 09/12/2016)

  • Can version even better than bottle

    Review by Iddy

The can version is packed, and I mean packed with grapefruit flavour. It's a phenomenal beer. (Posted on 09/12/2016)

  • Filled with grapefruity-hoppy deliciousness

    Review by Matthew

Elvis Juice thankfully isn't freshly squeezed from Elvises, but is instead a fantastically tasty and light IPA with the welcome addition of grapefruit. The fruity note isn't overpowering, so you still get to enjoy the hoppy goodness that you'd expect, but with a slight, pleasing citrussy tang. It's a little strong alcohol-wise, so definitely not a session beer, but one just never seems to be enough... (Posted on 06/12/2016)

  • Brewdog's best?

    Review by Jirvs

Beer is great, grapefruit is great - what's not to like here?! (Posted on 04/12/2016)

  • Uh huh!

    Review by Pinchy

Bless my soul what's wrong with me? I feel the need to review brew dog beers like their blurb on the can/bottle.
Slurped this bluesy number after some time on the allotment, watching the sun go down.
Grapefruit? Yes, but I've had weaker %age summer ales with more citrus. Grapefruit but not a super tart one, the kind that makes you suck in your cheeks, more a subtle red grapefruit, sweetness.
A tasty, hoppy, IPA. Strong, but not super bitter.
Love me tender. (Posted on 30/10/2016)

  • The King

    Review by Abdyman

Great hoppy IPA with sweet and sour grapefruit, tastes amazing.
Obviously though if you aren't keen on sour or fruity beers you're probably best avoiding. (Posted on 20/10/2016)

  • Fannnnn tastic

  • Elvis tops the bill

    Review by Llamaman

I just tried this in a tasting against High Wire's grapefruit and the Beavertown blood orange in a citrus-IPA face off.
I think this one edges it. (Posted on 28/09/2016)

  • Not as complex as it could be

    Review by Adam Hooker

There isn't too much to say about this that hasn't already been covered here and in a great deal other places.

It is a very good beer, but is very basic with a slight twist. Think of a very good but not amazing IPA and then imagine what that would taste like with a little grapefruit added, actual grapefruit not hints of it that often crops up in IPA. That is exactly what this is.

Definitely a beer to drink sat in the garden on a sweltering day, in fact it is probably one of those beers that gains/loses a point depending on temperature. Sat in said garden, 5, sipping while watching ET on Boxing Day, 3. (Posted on 18/09/2016)

  • Grapefruit bomb!

    Review by Craig Sammels

A very juicy easy drinking beer from BrewDog, a must if you like this type of IPA! (Posted on 13/09/2016)

  • Nice

    Review by Leedj1

Citrus, grapefruit and possibly orange, with a decent hoppy kick.

Would definitely order again. (Posted on 23/08/2016)

  • Vintage Brewdog

    Review by Elliot

Brewdog come up trumps with this one, delivering a fruity hit with bite like few know how. Big grapefruit nose too. The hops hammer home and at over 6%, this is very drinkable! (Posted on 03/08/2016)

  • Refreshing and zesty

    Review by pete91z

This beer is perfect for people who like Punk IPA and are looking for something with a bit more kick, but find drinks like Jack Hammer a bit too off the wall. It's a well balanced mix of hoppy and grapefruit flavours without being bitter, and is a nice refreshing drink to have during the warm weather. Lovely stuff. (Posted on 01/08/2016)

  • Juicy

    Review by Adam Pagor

Brilliant beer. One of the nicest citrus infused IPAs i've had. Great value too. (Posted on 20/07/2016)

  • Fruity, Hoppy, delicious!

    Review by Jadobeer

One of my favourite beers in reent times. Fresh, zingy and delicious. I have it whenever I can get my hands on it. I highly recommend if you like citrusy ipa's! (Posted on 11/07/2016)

  • Fruity greatness

    Review by the crobar

another Brewdog masterpiece. biter sweet grapefruit. Zesty and refreshing very tastey (Posted on 09/07/2016)

  • Juicy grapefruit!

    Review by ghbradshaw

One of the newest permanent Brewdog beers, this is part of their Amplified range. It's bursting with juicy grapefruit and hops, which complement each other so well. Very drinkable for the strength, and comes in handy cans which are also great at keeping the beer fresh. (Posted on 08/07/2016)

  • I should have learnt my lesson

    Review by Hop botherer

I purchased High Wire from Magic Rock and unfortunately didn't like it due to it being overpowering. Surprise, surprise, its the same story again (Posted on 29/06/2016)

  • Fresh!

    Review by CeleryGeneral

The grapefruit is really zesty and fresh and supports the hops. This is not a fruit beer as you may know it the citrus just enhances the hops. (Posted on 29/06/2016)

  • Brewdog brilliance

    Review by Steviebeer.23

This beer is in my top 10 I absolutely love it especially for the sunny days ........follow my Instagram steviebeer23 (Posted on 24/06/2016)

  • double wow

    Review by Good head

Has a golden brown colour and crystal clear with a frothy head. Really clean citrus flavour and smell. This is one that I would definitely buy again. (Posted on 22/06/2016)

  • Stunning!

    Review by BeerSnob76

This beer is so "Tutti Frutti". On the nose is unmistakable Grapefruit, give it swirl and then all the Tropical fruits come into play. It's not really bitter as it's backed up with a sturdy malt base which makes it really easy to drink and it has a long finish leaving you wanting more. This is the best Grapefruit IPA out there and one of Brewdogs finest! (Posted on 16/06/2016)

  • Flavoured with fruit

    Review by croiz

I like this.... refreshing on a summers day. As identified below, it's rather like lilt, so IMHO may get sickly after a few.

One thing to note is that this is "infused" with fruit, rather than the pure hop character fruitiness that associated with many of BD's other fruity beers (Punk/Dead Pony). Therefore it is slightly sweeter, and indeed sweeter than the similar Grapefruit High Wire from Magic rock. (Posted on 13/06/2016)

  • Wow!!

    Review by Paul S

Grapefruity & refreshing - well worth buying!!! (Posted on 01/06/2016)

  • I want MORE

    Review by MeanGreen83

This has quickly become my favourite beer. It is ultra-citrusy and has a clean bitter finish. Surely it counts as one of your five a day (or all five when you can't resist just one more.) (Posted on 01/06/2016)

  • Nice alternative

    Review by BB8

I couldn't drink this all night but I do like having one of these, a Jackhammer, another EJ and then a JH, breaks things up nicely. (Posted on 31/05/2016)

  • Lilt in beer form

    Review by Westy

Fruity, easy drinking, loveliness with a hoppy bite (Posted on 29/05/2016)

  • Grapefruit beer

Review by Change from a ten

Bought for my bro for his birthday. He said:

"Wasn't sure what to expect with a grapefruit infused beer but was exactly what it said: bitter, sweet and refreshing." (Posted on 19/05/2016)

  • Beautiful

    Review by K3VW

Really enjoyed this beer, I am a big fan of hoppy IPAs and there seemed just the right amount of grapefruit in this to add a bit of tartness to counter the sweet fruitiness of the hoppy IPA. Definitely not too sour, one of my favourite beers of the year. (Posted on 09/05/2016)

  • Well balanced fruitiness

    Review by JonB

A very nice beer with just the right amount of grapefruit to make it different without being overpowering. (Posted on 06/05/2016)

  • Totally tropical taste

    Review by JohnH

Not a beer that I'd want to drink 4 or 5 of in a night but as an occasional change this beer is a nice surprise. If it wasn't for the boozy 6.5% I would have sworn I was drinking a shandy made with Lilt rather than lemonade. I look forward to trying a few more beers with actual grapefruit in them, they're not going to topple a good lambic framboise as my favourite fruit beer but Elvis Juice is off to an impressive start. (Posted on 02/05/2016)

  • Surprised

    Review by Norcbot

Very fruity slightly lilt like. Will definitely get some more. (Posted on 28/04/2016)

  • Pleasant surprise

    Review by Potterpint

I thought this might sit with the Beavertown Quelle or Lemon Phantom in terms of sickly citrus-ness, but this was a mile away. A far classier taste. refreshing but with a slight tang gives it a kind of gingery warmth. It's a winner. (Posted on 20/04/2016)

  • Juicy fruits

    Review by Alex

Tonnes of grapefruit on the nose and a sweet juicyness in the mouth, offset by just enough bitterness. A really good refreshing beer. (Posted on 15/04/2016)

  • Enjoyable

    Review by Blind_Drunk

I didn't know what to expect from this beer and I will be honest, I went for it purely on the name. But I am glad I opted for a bit of Elvis, the grapefruit worked perfectly and it was very enjoyable drink (Posted on 03/04/2016)

  • Holy grapefruit

    Review by Londonjef

The flavour of grapefruit really jumps out of the can. It's really tasty, but it can be overpowering. (Posted on 01/04/2016)

  • Greatfruit

    Review by Llamaman

We often taste grapefruit in modern-style PAs so I suppose it should come as no surprise brewers have started adding actual grapefruit to the beer.
It comes as no shock then, that it works rather well. The tart citrus complements the resinous pine notes and persists in a long dry finish.
Very refreshing (unlike the laughably naff Brewdog blurb on the can). (Posted on 29/03/2016)

  • Not too good

    Review by Ole Alexander Saue

Not a fan of this fruity beers. Reminds me of a cider (Posted on 29/03/2016)
