Hello beeries! February is here, bringing with it spring flowers, Pancake Day, and um - terrible storms?! This month sees plenty of exciting new additions to the Beer Hawk line up, so listen up for the low down on some of our top picks of February's Beer Club...

First up, we're delighted to introduce Liverpool Craft Beer Co! Founded in 2010, they built their brewery from scratch, and since then have lived by their motto, "Keeping busy brewing good beer". This month, every case will contain the fantastic Love Lane Pale Ale and Rye Pale Ale. Originally brewed under a railway bridge on Liverpool's famous Love Lane, Love Lane Pale Ale is fresh, light and fruity, with notes of orange, robust pale malts, sharp grapefruit and a touch of grassiness, while Rye Pale Ale is crisp, spritzy and bitter, with zesty citrus, red berries, and of course plenty of peppery rye. Medium and Large cases will also contain White Fox, a naturally cloudy white IPA brewed with the malt bill and yeast

Medium and Large cases will also contain White Fox, a naturally cloudy white IPA brewed with the malt bill and yeast typical of a wheat beer before being hopped like a tart, fruity American IPA.

Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and so we've got our hands on a couple of rather romantic brews from our old friends at Thornbridge. Subscribers to Beer Club: Medium and Large will be sent I Love You Will U Marry Me, a strawberry blonde ale named after a graffiti marriage proposal which has become an iconic Sheffield landmark. With a fresh strawberry character and subtle lemon note, I Love You Will U Marry Me is tart, effervescent and refreshing, with just a hint of fruity sweetness. Large cases will also contain Cocoa Wonderland, brewed in collaboration with a Sheffield chocolate shop of the same name. Matured with cocoa beans, this chocolate porter strikes the perfect balance between sweet milk chocolate and roasted coffee bitterness. We think it's a tad more exciting than the standard Valentine's Day box of chocolates!

Another collaborative brew gracing Large cases this month is Weird Beard Safe Word, a collaboration with the staff from BrewDog's Shepherd's Bush bar. Safe Word is an IPA brewed with chokeberries, also known as Aronia; the unique flavour of these berries creates a tart, bitter-sweet character. With notes of zesty citrus and stone fruit, it's dry and refreshing with a mouth-puckering sour edge. Staying with the IPA theme, subscribers to the Medium and Large cases will also receive Salopian Boomerang. First brewed as a special in 2013, Boomerang has made a very welcome return to the Salopian roster. With bundles of resinous pine, sweet marmalade and juicy mango, this 6.9% ABV IPA finishes dry with a lingering fruitiness.

That's it for this preview of February's Beer Club - we'll leave you to discover the rest of the bottles for yourself. Cheers!
