This week we launch the range of Salt Beer Factory beers on the site and what better way to introduce a new brewery to our beer hunters than to have a good 'ole fashioned interview with Nadir Zairi, Director of the Yorkshire based brewery in Saltaire.
There are signs that Non-Alcoholic beer is hitting the mainstream and is poised to hit the big time, but just how popular will it become? In this article I’ll look at some of the signs that show ‘NOLO’ (non or low alcoholic) beer is becoming a serious player in our industry, and how its development might progress in the UK.
After trying out our very own World Beers mixed case for a beer tasting party, Christie Day, Brand Expert at money-saving website Savoo shares her tips for hosting a top beer tasting night on a budget.
Ask someone down the pub for the reasons behind Britain’s recent Beer revival, and you’re guaranteed all sorts of different explanations. In 2017 the number of UK breweries passed the 2000 mark, which puts us well ahead of European neighbours. Most will have a reasonable argument for why, but you can bet your double-dry hopped DIPA that very few of them would mention Gordon Brown, ex-PM and former Chancellor of the Exchequer.

This month the Medium and Large Beer Clubs will feature three of Victory's core range: The spicy, rich Belgian-inspired Golden Monkey (can); a dark, intense Storm King (Imperial) Stout and finally its famed heavy-hitter: Hop Devil IPA. But have no fear, Small Club fans! Your box will include both the Storm King and the Golden Monkey alongside the brewery's perfectly elegant Prima Pils.
We're also proud to welcome another new brewery to our range; this one being located a little closer to home: Sheffield's North Union Brewing Co. Founded by Iain Kelly--a graduate of the esteemed Heriot Watt University Brewing and Distilling Program--North Union's journey started small and simple but has since grown to their current railway-arch premises in the heart of Sheffield. Medium and Large box subscribers will get the first taste of North Union's core range IPA and Dubbel.
Another interesting beer that all subscribers are lucky to try this month is Rooster's Brewing Co.'s Ragged Point. This so-called West Coast Stout is stuffed full (and dry hopped too!) of big American hops--Cascade, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic--on top of a gorgeous English stout malt grist. Make no mistake: this is not a Black IPA--it's a wonderfully hoppy, smooth and dry English stout that comes in at a manageable 5.0% ABV.
So, there you have it. Or at least some of it. We wouldn't want to give away all the magic!
As always, we love your feedback so please let us know if you loved these beers and if you have any suggestions for others to include. We hope you love what we've picked for you this month!
Cheers!
