This week we launch the range of Salt Beer Factory beers on the site and what better way to introduce a new brewery to our beer hunters than to have a good 'ole fashioned interview with Nadir Zairi, Director of the Yorkshire based brewery in Saltaire.
There are signs that Non-Alcoholic beer is hitting the mainstream and is poised to hit the big time, but just how popular will it become? In this article I’ll look at some of the signs that show ‘NOLO’ (non or low alcoholic) beer is becoming a serious player in our industry, and how its development might progress in the UK.
After trying out our very own World Beers mixed case for a beer tasting party, Christie Day, Brand Expert at money-saving website Savoo shares her tips for hosting a top beer tasting night on a budget.
Ask someone down the pub for the reasons behind Britain’s recent Beer revival, and you’re guaranteed all sorts of different explanations. In 2017 the number of UK breweries passed the 2000 mark, which puts us well ahead of European neighbours. Most will have a reasonable argument for why, but you can bet your double-dry hopped DIPA that very few of them would mention Gordon Brown, ex-PM and former Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Up here in Yorkshire the weather has been absolutely beautiful this week--spring has truly sprung. Between the blooming daffodils, baby lambs and perfect temperatures we've had a hard time staying in the office. Indeed, the other day our director Mark sat outside in a lounger all day wearing the most ridiculous hat. Nevertheless, his car-park holiday has inspired us to take advantage of the nice weather and head outside with our favorite beer. Remember how I told you how convenient beer in cans was for outdoor activities like walks and picnics? Well, just in time for relaxing springtime picnics, we've got gorgeous Rooster's Brewing Co. beers in a can for subscribers to both our Normal and Strong Beer Club for April! In the interest of full-disclosure, the crew at Rooster's are personal friends of mine. But I wouldn't be friends with people who sold terrible beer and I am

But I wouldn't be friends with people who sold terrible beer and I am SO happy that we've finally gotten their beers in stock. I can't wait to grab a six-pack of these and head outside.
Both cases will include the International Brewing Awards Bronze Medal Winner Baby-Faced Assassin IPA. Chocked full of 100% Citra hops, this refreshing IPA has intense citrus and tropical fruit aromas and big mango, lemon, orange zest and floral flavors that are contrasted by a bold bitterness. Stepping down a notch in the ABV (but not flavor) department, both the Normal and Strong cases will also be getting the Citra-and-Chinook-hopped Fort Smith IPA and the classic Yankee™ pale ale.
Fans of sour, funky beers will be happy to see the Siren Craft Brew Calypso Dry-Hopped Berliner Weisse. The version that'll be showing up in each of the Normal and Strong Beer Clubs this month is the one that is dry-hopped with the gorgeous Simcoe and Comet hops. Expect bright grapefruit, lemon and passionfruit flavors on top of a thirst-quenching tartness. It's a beauty to enjoy the in the sunshine.
Finally, for those who don't have time for a BBQ, we've got the smoky and interesting Schlenkerla Rauchbier Fastenbier (Lentbier.) A Rauchbier is a classic German beer that is made using smoked malts. Both the Normal and Strong Clubs will find this amazing Rauchbier that brings together meat, smoke and wood with just a bit of sweet maltiness and earthy hops. Reminiscent of grilling meat over a campfire, this is a must-try if you're a fan of Rauchbiers or want to try something really interesting.
To top all of this off, besides a bunch of other great beers, each Beer Club this month will also receive a FREE Brooklyn Brewery pint glass.
All the more easy for you to enjoy delicious beer from your Beer Hawk Beer Club subscription while enjoying a good bit of sunshine. Enjoy!
