Big Drop are really making waves in the alcohol free market these days. It’s great that we are seeing all these flavourful brews meeting the needs of those who are choosing to swerve the booze, for whatever reason. This is everything we hope for in a lager. Light and crisp with aromas of crackers and grass, and a little honey on the taste. This is quite dry with a moderate bitterness, you’d never know it was a low abv. Treat your none drinking guests, and if they like their dark beer, keep your eyes out for Big Drop’s stout, which has won awards against full-strength counterparts.

Brewery Info

Since their inception in April 2016, Big Drop Brewing Co. founder, Rob Fink has been dedicated to one thing: brewing good quality, flavourful, low alcohol beer. And what a success it has been! Their first two beers, Big Drop Stout and Big Drop Pale picked up international accolades from the International Beer challenge and the World Beer awards, and with 6 brews now in their roster, we’re sure that there will be many more accolades to come!

Wasn't to my taste - I think the low alcohol real ales are better
Decent Drop

Overall, this is a nice beer - but could have a bit more flavour and a more distinctive taste. But definitely one to try to see if you like it.
Thin, lacks flavour, too sweet

Disappointed in this. Would just about do if served very cold on a hot day, but does lack depth and has a sugary taste. A way to go before they get the lager right - their pale ale is fantastic.
Sweet, bready

Lager's not my thing (tend to prefer IPA), but this does a better job than a lot of low-alcohol lagers. Still a bit thin though.

Tried in comparison with a wider range of low alcohol beers.
Not the best

This lager has a pronounced bready, almost stale flavour. I probably wouldn't buy it again.
