BrewDog Hardcore IPA

BrewDog Hardcore IPA

4.6
5

150 IBUs and 9.2% ABV. Yes, Brewdog, that's Hardcore. As Brewdog themselves so eloquently state, this beer has been "hopped to hell, then dry-hopped to hell too." And they aren't kidding.

The Hardcore IPA is chocked full of the American Centennial, Columbus, and Simcoe hops which present themselves with some intense citrus, pine, and spicy notes. Backed up by a strong malty backbone with notes of whisky, rum, and liquid candy and its Brewdog-esque lingering bitterness, this beer is dangerously good. Drink slowly!

  1. Chuffin' HARDCORE! Review by interzen
    Rating

Brewdog - love 'em or loathe 'em, you can't deny that they can brew some pretty good beers, and with Hardcore the hype and hyperbole are actually justified.

This is big-hitting IPA with hops turned all the way up to 11 and beyond, even before you've got it out of the bottle. Taste-wise, it's balanced by a lovely sweetness which is the only hint you'll have that malts are present. It balances everything out perfectly.

Absolutely massive, in taste, smell and ABV (9.2%) - treat it with respect on school nights, but there's enough going on that it demands careful attention to get the most out of it. (Posted on 06/07/2015)

HARDCORE! If this were music it would indeed be 180bpm nosebleed techno. Minimal nose, but TASTE! Hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. You'll enjoy this one.
HARDCORE! YOU KNOW THE SCORE! 9.2%ABV (Posted on 22/05/2015)

  5. BrewDog you beautiful creation! Review by MegaHops

BrewDog have somehow managed to create drinks which I liken to nectar, they are so good on every level. All BrewDog beers are full of flavour and provide what you'd expect from a premium beer. Moreover the BewDog bars that are sprouting are a phenomenon in their own right. Well worth a buy and visit one of their bars if your passing. (Posted on 25/11/2014)

Only had one order delivered so difficult to comment, delivery was on time although printing off and placing this in place where case was to be left appeared a complete waste of time as it was left on doorstep despite my instruction to leave behind side gate!, where I left the printed document!! Beers ordered very good, with good selection on offer., may use again but can get good offers in local area so we will see.
Excellent service with rapid and safe delivery. Great selection of beer from around the world. I definitely would recommend Beer Hawk to anyone who is tired of flavourless mainstream beer!
Although previously I been happy with the Service at Beerhawk, at the time of writing this review I have paid for the beer, been promised delivery twice, been told it has been delivered twice, found that the beer has been sent to an address in Reading (over 200 miles from where I live), been promised numerous phone calls to keep me upto date with the situation but yet again I will be ringing the company myself to find out when I can expect my beer
